Status: offline 		I'm sensitive to a lot of perfumes and colognes as well, but I like some Bay Rums in particular as well as Drakkar and high quality Indian patchouli oil for men.  Generally tho' I prefer a man's own scent, especially fresh sweat.  Mmmmm!

The only perfume I ever wear is Joy, but only rarely.  Usually it's Calgon's Hawaian Ginger body mist which smells mostly like pineapple.  Florals usually make me ill so I stick to fruity scents and stuff like vanilla or coconut.

Favorite candle scent is Yankee Candle's buttercream which also has very strong vanilla notes.  Other than that I love a lot of kitchen smells...coffee (I dont drink it either), bacon, cookies or cake in the oven, cinnamon, rosemary, roasting meat.  Also outdoorsy scents...fresh wet earth, pine, that sort of thing.  And last but not least, animal smells...leather, horses/stables, dog (even the breath!), and fur in general. 

I'm sure I'm forgetting some important ones, but it'd be too numerous to list them all anyway.  I'm very scent-oriented, second only to touch.

I love aromas. I'm extremely olfactory oriented. I will however break down my preferences into groups;

Foods - Roasting/brewing coffee (Even though I don't drink it.), bacon frying, garlic in whatever, baking bread, sauteed onions, curry.

Incense - Dragon's Blood is my favorite. I'm game to just about all as I like how it texturizes the atmosphere.

Candles - Most Yankee Candle Company scents, but especially Mint. All their citrus scents thrill me.

Body Products - There is no comparison for The Body Shop's Satsuma Body Butter. As a butter, it is inferior to Bath & Body Works' collections. As a fragrance though? It brings me a sense of peace unparralled by any other.

Men's Cologne - I adore when my boy wears CK 1 Summer. That sharp but pleasant tingle of the citrus tang envelops me. Merow! Other favorites: Armani's Aqua Di Gio, Davidoff's Cool Water, Polo's Black. I think you get the idea.

Women's Fragrance's - Currently on my dresser: Mambo, CK 1 Summer, Issey Miyake, Realm, Coach, Origin's Ginger Rush,  and Obsession off the top of my head.

As to my introducing scents into a scene? Absolutely, I enjoy it quite thoroughly. It keys up certain emotions, triggering certain sexual responses. Although, since my boy is a screamer, we can only do the heaviest corporal scenes at a public club. Most notably Paddles here in NYC. It's rather difficult to drag around a brazier to smolder incense or a candlabrum for candles. I have to restrict the use of scents to sensual scenes at home. Which isn't a total loss, mind you.

Status: offline 		I am very alergic to artificial smells, so I have to go strictly with essential oils.  I scent my own lotions and bath products.  I can say I have a truely unique scent.  Master seems to love it. 

In a natural setting, fresh cut grass, honeysuckle, and peoney's are the best.  Especially on a warm night, after a cleansing rain.

I also love the smell of leather, cig. smoke, and sex.  Get all three together, and I am in heaven.

Status: offline 		I'm an extremely sensory person..love the smell of leather..a well worn tee-shirt, almost any men's cologne, coffee, the scent of sex still in the air (or on my body), old yankee buttercream is also my fave candle scent..my um right after a bath. I also love perfumes and probably have about 9 or 10 right now -laughs- what I wear depends on what mood I'm in and the activities I have planned for the day, or night. Just put me in there with the smell junkies...

I swear, sometimes I have to spray the obsession onto a hanky or makeup removal pad and place it in toad's pocket or his lunchbox to help him stay focused throughout the day. I also spray toad and cubby's bed pillows with it.
 
I love it when they come in from work in the evening and take Me in their arms, kiss Me and then inhale My perfume deeply as if to reassure themselves that they are finally "home".

I notice that a lot of people mention allergies. I was taught a technique that will infuse the air with scent WITHOUT the allergens actually being circulated. It's called a thurible.
 
Find a fire resistant container. Cast iron, stoneware, even a seashell will do. If you aren't totally sure it is fireproof, fill a flowerpot with sand or kitty litter (the clay stuff) then nestle the container into the sand. Take a tablespoon of epsom salts and pour it into the container. Then add your scent (detailed below). Finally, add the clear 90% rubbing alcohol (anything less than 70% has too much water in it) and light it with a fireplace candle or long stemmed lighter. There will be NO scent at first, but you will notice that most stale odors will disappear. After two or three moments, the alcohol will burn away and you'll hear a sizzle. Suddenly there will be a "poof" of scent as the fire dies.
 
It's a smokeless fire, so you can smell the scent without the haze or the allergic reaction. Some ideas are: essential oils, ground up or shaved incense, a few drops of perfume, cinnamon, sage, etc.
I have actually shaved incense sticks and mixed it with the salts because I loved the incense but have asthma and smoke triggers it. Another good thing about a thurible is that you can add alcohol to the crystallized salt and light it again for several times and the scent happens over and over rather than just once with typical incense. A thurible has helped Me to enjoy life regardless of allergies and I wanted to share.

Arousal: Leather, sweat, rain (don't ask) burning wood.

Favorite scents: Obsession (It's the only perfume I wear), vanilla, Cinnamon, citrus, lavender, almost any male cologne, there's just something about a man that smells good. Yum

....but my favorite smell of all has to be...fear.

Status: offline 		M wears Lagerfeld, and I've come to appreciate it. My father wore Avon Wild Country and that is a scent that brings back fond memories.
I wear Avon's Soft Musk, Ciara, or a Hot Topic scent by Brian Froud.

Bubble bath is almost always Avon, I think my favorite is Candy Cane, followed up by chocolate covered strawberries. Right now I have 4 maybe 5 bottles of it because I go through it so fast. I go for the sweet dessert scents, primarily. Floral scents frequently cause headaches for me.

I love the scent of leather, new mown grass, baby powder, my Aussie shampoo and conditioner. Most room fresheners or candles I lean towards are the dessert scents, mint scents, or cinnamon scents.

I use Bath & Body Works massage oil in Sandalwood Rose and Eucalyptus Spearmint. Jasmine Vanilla I can only use sparingly as the Jasmine starts to get to me after a while. I truly like the very mild scent of sweet almond oil mixed with M's body scent.

Things that just make me inhale and purr are M's body, a glass of hot cocoa, hot peppermint tea, barbecue slow cooking in the oven or on the grill, sandalwood, amber.

Status: offline 		I just finished a unit on sensual play in my mentors training and learned that the scents of licorice and cucumber or cucumber melon cause a woman to become more easily aroused.  For men it is pumpkin pie spice.  Sorta let down for me cuz I hate the smell/taste of licorice and pumpkin pie spice lol.

I tend to prefer Bath and Body Works natural floral body creams like pink grapefruit or sweet pea for day to day wear.  Light scents but they make me feel happy.
My husband and my boys love the smell of  Elizabeth Arden's Red Door on me when I want to wear perfume.

The smell of roses mixed with leather and a hint of vanilla is very intoxicating to me.  The scent of my husband's hair and skin is the sexiest smell on the planet to me.

Status: offline 		To me autumn has a sublime aroma... if it is an aroma... a sensable change in their air that just gets me riled! LOL. Hard to explain hehe... maybe something to do with harvesting to crop of sub men for that year *weg*.

Two smells that particularly remind me of autumn are cinnamon and apple... especially if coupled along with the smell of baking... omawgawd!

I am a big fan of oils and incense of all kinds.  I prefer scents
that many others find rather strong, frankincense, patchoulli,
opium, black lotus, myrrh, amber, civet, etc.
 
Most floral scents "wash out" on me, sometimes I can keep
a jasmine or a gardenia scent but usually not the more popular
scents like rose or lilly.

Status: offline 		I like finding new scents and use them for certain situations, and only those situations. There are many Egyptian oils that are quite subdued but impossible to forget. I like wearing certain scents for some people, and using a variety of different scents for different events. Rose petals for baths, a Caman Island perfume for passionate love making, murky cologn (for him) for rough nights, etc...

One of My favorite games is the Name that Smell.
I have the submissives blindfolded,and use a
medical mask with a tube attached for them to get the smell
of what ever I am holding up which could be vanilla or smelling salts.
A wrong guess gets them a whack or maybe even 6 of them its My favorite number...

I love the reaction of going from something sweet to the smelling salts...lol
they always jump its a good thing I have them in some type of bondage,hehe

Status: offline 		I love going to bed surrounded by my "clean scents": herbal shampoo/conditioner, "fresh air" bath salts, cherry-almond body wash (from my bath), crisp sheets scented with the lavender sachet in which they're stored, lemon oil rubbed on my bedroom furniture, perhaps the perfume of some fresh cut flowers, all blended on a soft country breeze.

The usuals that have been mentioned here...leather, vanilla, cinnamon, apples, bread, freshly brewed coffee.
Other food related scents....the way the house smells on Thanksgiving, a pot of spaghetti sauce, warm brownies, pumpkin pie.
Lilacs in bloom. Ocean breezes and the smell of the boardwalk at Jones beach. The air at the top of a mountain. Campfires, hiking in a pine forest. Dawn on a crisp November morning. Sheets hung out on a line.
Probably the oddest scent I like is that of a skunk. I attribute it to my aunt telling me at a very young age that the smell of a skunk is good for you. She said that whenever I smelled a skunk I should breathe that in very deeply and it would be good for my lungs. I've been doing it since I was small. I was surprised to find out when I got older that they used to use skunk to treat asthma before inhalers. It opens the passages.

edited to add that Clary Sage has a very strong effect on me also.

Status: offline 		Ohhh I like this thread.  Im an essential oils junkie myself.  My personal favs are Sandalwood, Myrrh, and Ylang Ylang.  Bath and body works had a blend out for a while that (i believe) had all three of them in it.. I was in heaven.  Got tons of compliments on it too.  Now that they have discontinued "my" oil. ,  I wear oil rather than parfume.. seems easier for me to handle and feels great on my skin.  I am experimenting on mixing my own.  I still haven't been able to get it just right.  Grrrrrrrr 


Years ago I did the vanilla thing.  Now I just get pissy when I go into the store and every damn scent  they have smells like a food.
