ok so alot has be posted on what is contentious and what is not....but nothing about the art of posting

i will say this, i like Noah for posting good cotent, sometimes long and rambly but always thought prevoking and illuminating.

i would even venture to say it is ellevated to art when he does it...

i myself have tryed a half a dozen times to post a thread, and it never works out very well.

that is not to say i am not an artist, but i think ill stick to the things i am good at...

I can hardly believe it. I'm away for a day and this silly thread has seen pages and pages of more posts.

This proves my point in two ways;
1) the several pages of posts contributed, presumably because there was no more interesting subject matter available over which contentious debate could be exercised
2) the happy way everyone has been getting along here.

The only item even resembling contention was the debate over the puffy cloud and the dancing banana. Clearly then, something must be done to stimulate vigorous argument.

I would therefore like to suggest that Adolf Hitler was a fine pastry chef, that England will thrash Brazil at soccer on Friday night and that putting kittens in a sack and throwing it into the canal is perfectly OK.

Of course he was. Hannibal Lecter was inspired by his trials on food. Cause he is out there, and not a fictional character, ya know.

See, it all comes into place, now!

Good one!

As for Englans vs. Brazil... meah. My pooch's butt is itchy... and is more interesting.

Kittens in canals? Well, they do come through the birth canal, wrapped up in a sac (placenta) at times... well, wrapped up in a gooeyish substance that the Mother licks off... so... I don't see a problem.

Sorry Lady E, you'll have to try again, an a wee bit harder this time.

Paper sacks are no good DG - they get wet and the kittens escape. Plastic sacks are equally unsuitable as even with their underdeveloped claws the kittens can escape. Transparent plastic might make for an interesting and entertaining five minutes though, watching them trying to escape. The other problem with plastic sacks is that they can trap air and stay afloat even though you put a brick in with the kitties.

It has to be hessian really to make sure they sink to the bottom and stay there, confused and terrified and suffocating as the water surrounds them.

Now thats contentious!

well, i suppose it could be contentious, but you do make a point...

& forced me to look up hessian sacks, so i've learned something today...wheeeeeee!!!!

ps:  in the olden days plain old burlap was the sack of choice to drown kittens in....
