Dont you just dislike sub-drop?

It always hits me hard, doesnt matter what W/we have done, but if its been a short but very intense scene it usually triggers the worst kind of drop in me (the insecure nattery woe is me im not good enough kind) and the only way i know how to deal with it is to have a bit of a binge on whatever it is i fancy be it chocolate (rarely) or savoury foods, and because im trying very hard to lose weight, that binge generally generates displeasure from Master, and although He does and says all the right things He will still punish me for that binge ...

So .... subs and slaves alike, what do you do to soften or ease your sub-drop and does it incur a punishment for your Master/Dom/Domme?

i would not accept being punished for taking care of myself, which is what easing sub-drop is to me...but thats just me
if you are concerned about over eating i would recomend dark chocolate, the darker the better...something about it increasing seritonin uptake as well as creating endorphins...i am not an expert on the subject, but the results are undeniable (i have a friend who's husband/Master comes home with a bar of dark dark chocolate and puts pieces in her mouth before she can talk starting a few days before her period thru the end of her period) i have also seen someone (not a diabetic) control their depression with dark chocolate...i've also seen several people control their sub drop with dark chocolate...
one hint i've seen work is to get hershey's dark chocolate syrup and put it in your coffee in the morning the day after sceneing to ease the symptoms of sub drop...
another thing that helps me is cuddling and crying out the emotions...and it doesn't necessarily have to be with the person i scened with, just someone i trust...

Ooo i entirely forget about dark chocolate and its delightful benefits thank you chelle

i will just say, one of His rules is not to binge, because He knows its not doing me any good and setting me back because i have to start again, there is one thing have a cpl of pieces of dark chocolate and another having a food binge, thats not healthy because then W/we both know i wont eat properly for a cpl of days to make up for it.

i will remember the very dark chocolate tho thanks xx

Well yesterday I dealt with it by being honest when I realized what it was (it's always a surprise to me because it hardly ever happens anymore), talking on the phone and he took care of it by making dinner, making sure we went to the gym and snuggled.

It was difficult at first because I was in such a deep fuzzy sub headspace that I really wanted to take care of HIM...until my friend told me that *duh* he was just taking care of ME so the drop wouldn't be a big issue.

Yes, it really was that obvious and yes, it really had not occurred to me at all until that point. See how irrational it is???

Edited: In your case I think it's completely justified to punish or give some sort of negative consequence for the binge. You knew it was likely, you knew youd idn't have permission, I doubt you even asked first for a special allowance. Next time, prepare more beforehand and have healthy things and activities to binge on. Subdrop will always pass and is not deadly- it's not a valid excuse IMO to willfully disobey.

I don't like it, it sucks. In the past I have had parnters who cuddled, and kept an eye on me during that 'delicate' time, juice, tea, water, light touching and stroking, very relaxing and it get me out of that place. Sometimes a shower or bath together works very well, just some low-key time.
