I don't want 'training' to involve jumping through hoops, changing my personality or to involve an intricate planned out list of steps a Dom has conjured up before hand for me to make my way through.

However... everyone is influenced and grows with the people they're around, and being a submissive the biggest influence in my life is my Daddy. He has ways he wants me to behave, and learning from him and also growing in myself is important to me. I was sort of wondering if His somewhat casual approach to it was anything like the 'training' I hear people offering in their profiles.

If someone were to ask me what training is, I would say training is simply deciding what you want and then showing someone how to do it.

Some people suffer from delusions of grandeur.

This is a useful distinction that many people fail to make. 'Teaching' is generally an intellectual process passing knowledge or skills to another person. 'Training' has a more experiential basis and is generally about making something habitual or second-nature. Both are useful, they just aren't the same thing.

like bandit posted - training isn't a word in Daddy's vocabulary. His opinion about training is that it's for the weak. He doesn't have to trained me to become a stronger submisive and/or how to please Him. i'm taught how to improve myself - to be more aggressive with my career and to be more confident - or something like that.
