Status: offline 		It must be nice to feel that way. I wouldnt post but that I was thinking the other night about my parents' deaths (not yet - I reckon they have a few miles on the clock still!) and about what I feel about it.

My relationship with my mom has never been close - its much better than it ever was since my transition, but still I couldnt bring myself to feel anything for her particularly and I cant imagine grieving overmuch for her when the time comes. It makes me feel odd and somehow in the wrong that I feel this way, but there is a lot of history to it.

My relationship with my dad though has always been much better - though it suffered and still does suffer on account of my transition. I found that I could imagine grieving for him when the time comes.

I know what you mean. My Mom has taken on a lot of volunteering lately. We hardly ever get to see each other. I think I'm going to get ahold of her planner and write me in an appointment for us to have lunch and get our nails done.

We do not get a do over in this life. Spend as much time as you can with the ones you love. You will not have them forever.

Status: offline 		I miss my mother as well.  She was taken in a car accident 7.5 years ago.  I sometimes wish I could just pick up the phone and hear her voice.

I also miss my daughter, she moved out and in with her boyfriend a few weeks ago and the only time we seem to see each other is at work sporacidally (we work for the same agency).

Status: offline 		I was blinded after my Master passed away that my Mother actually changed her ways..in reality, I was just in shock and saw what I "wanted" to see...she once again showed  her true colors  and is out of my life forever...growing up, I knew only my grandmother til i was 8 years old basically then I was with my Mom and step father and remember the fights, drinking and drugs.....sometimes, it's better to forgive and forget...

However, I am glad that you have a good relationship with your mom (hugs)...I would be proud to have a loving son like you...mom's love phone calls by the way.
