sincityprincess -> Question: Intro to Riding Crops?? (5/31/2007 1:05:28 PM)

My Dom has a little corner at his house where he often leaves little surprises for me when I come over. Usually something small like a sticker for my car, maybe a new tank top for a Harley run we are heading on that weekend...well, last night in my little "spot" was a new crop! I have been wanting one forever though we've never used one before. My friend who has a dungeon has some...the stiff black kind one normally envisions....this one was softer, like a Kangaroo Skin Flogger and not nearly as stiff. Is this like a "beginner" crop? The fetish store I think it came from is run by an elderly couple who make all the toys themselves and I think Miss C probably recommended this one for a reason? He is still overcoming his fear of really "hurting" me...so maybe this one is a good starter.

Any suggestions for first-timers for a crop? Or is it pretty much the kind of thing we will figure it out???

Thanks!! [sm=smile.gif]

My Dom hasn't used a riding crop per se on me, but i figure it would be like the whip. Nothing too bad. i say just have fun with it and enjoy the new experience.

I had a fear of hurting when I got mine the first time.  So, may sound silly, I practiced on a pillow.  I got the feel of it, and taught it to do what I wanted...lol  I still practice sometimes, just to keep warmed....lol

Congrats on your new toy![sm=applause.gif]

I guess I would say it is like a lot of toys which can be used to give pain....if your Dom knows how much it hurts (ie by hitting himself on his hand or the side of his leg) he will have a better idea of the amount of pain it can cause, at least in comparison to the other toys you may have.

Apart from that I would just stick with the old adage of take it slow and lots of communication...crops can be fun

I'd say it's pretty self explanitory. Don't know how different a "Begginer" crop is compared to a regular one, but either way they are a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy it.
