ORIGINAL: domiguy Why were there not any white folks working at the site?....Maybe the Hispanics were the only ones willing to do the job. This may just be me, and I could be wrong, but is it really appropriate to classify the entire socio-economic-racial structure of the United States based on the individuals working at a construction site a person drove by? I work at a place. The socio-economic and racial structure is as follows: 1/4 of the people I work with in the harbor are black. 1/4 of the other people are white, predominantly from eastern Europe. 1/4 of the people are Hispanic. There is some cross over between the three groups. Asians are completely underrepresented, except for a few Samoans and Pacific Islanders. I dont think any are illegal immigrants since they have to provide a high school diploma, a driver's license, and a social security card to get a job there. Sinergy
