It is not necessarily a nasty habit. Masturbation is a healthy natural action. Perhaps through the use of manipulative massage of the prostrate, you can learn to "milk" him regularly which will help in stemming his auto-masturbation, but health-wise, it is important that a male release his seminal fluids regularly in order to prevent inflammation, infection, and even cancer of the prostate.
