Thank you for your opinion but what do you like for your sub/slave to call you? Also remember that some ppl just want to be a little different. If everyone went by Master, Daddy, Mistress, Dame, Maam or Sir, the munch might be a little boring. I remember one Dommina dressed up in a Bee costume calling herself "Queen B." She had a submissive dressed in simmalr atire named "Worker Bee." It was different and cute as it added flavor and creativity to the event. So when attending an event do you think less of a Dom using a title?

Most Dom's want to be called something by there subs and it would be nice to think outside your box.

I understand the use of the social or courtesy titles Master and slave, both in the intimate context of a lifestyle realtionship and in a scene. If it is used as part of an email handle I might find it easier to understand, but when it is expected in a greeting or as salutation, I think a serious reality check long over due. I'm getting a burning sensation around the ears.... I can almost
HEAR the clamoring over this ~softer~ side. What about my sadistic
nature known to so many? That's simple. I do flip between the
Goddess & the Amazon at will. It's just my nature. Don't try to
figure it out. I gave up ages ago, hehe.

Personally, I'm never comfortable with titles, honorifics, etc. Even
in scene. I designate the usage of the Goddess title during a scene
though because it appears to make the sub/bottom/slave more at ease.
It establishes a heirarachy in which they can relax, give over
control & find freedom in their letting go. I think a basic "Ma'am"
is a good all around term because it denotes deference without
actually having to go into all the other factors. Such as intimacy,
romance, etc.

I certainly don't feel either gender is superior to the other.
Respect should never be given, it better damn well be earned!
Courtesy on the other hand, is just good manners. All should
practice it, especially if they'd like to have it returned.

Oh God, titles.

So, my first Master wanted me to call him Master.

The second Dom I started to play with made me guess what to call him. So I said, tentatively, "Master?" He then replied that I was wrong, because we weren't in a relationship, that I was to call him "Sir."

The third Dom made me guess too. So I said, tentatively, "Sir?" He then replied that he hated that because he was in the military. So of course, Master.

I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT. Just tell me what to freaking call you, or else I'm going to guess something like "orange painted plastic eye" and you're going to think that I disrespect you. Well, I do. My hard limits are : cutting, urethral sounds, and GUESSING GAMES.

ROFLMAO.. *wipes tear from eye* I once had a sub who had learning to crochet as a hard limit and your feeling about guessing games sounds like his about crochet. That one happened after he watched me make another sub demonstrate how his learning crochet was progressing in a restaurant. I've never seen a man so horrified as that other sub. He felt that was taking humiliation far beyond any acceptable bounds. The look on his face! LMAO! To this day, crochet is in his list of hard limits.
