Hya, I am just starting out making latex gear, from corsets to dresses, collars to hoods. I have some designs for really extreme corsets and collars. I was wondering if there are any seamstress/dressmakers in the U.K. who have experience of making patterns from simple drawings. I am also importing latex wear and require U.K.models for photo shoot once the items are delivered. I am willing to discuss any aspect of My proposal, by mail,phone,or face to face. I have the knowhow to make the items, just not the skill to make the patterns. Some items I can strip down and make patterns from them. The more way out designs I have will take some skill from a pattern maker. Any help would be gratefully received.

You could do worse than to visit agelesspatterns (dotcom) for corset patterns. I've just ordered some Victorian patterns for next years' goth convention here in Florida. Excellent sellers of adaptable patterns. Evil Kitty

Janome in Stockport run corset making workshops. They are excellent, think I went for 2 days. The woman who runs them (also runs workshops in Ashby del la Zuche too I think) was curator for a museum and has adapted victorian patterns etc. Sorry I can't remember her name now. (old age dont ya know) I can send you a picture of the one I made but it is about 4 years old now. Janome run workshops for pattern making and lingerie making etc. Think the unit is in either Denton or Bredbury, just off the ring road anyway :) Hope this helps shiaz xx
