mom woke me up this morning said oh by the way when you left monday a woman called said you have a second interview, I said what time, and she's like I don't know, don't you have the name and number can't you call back? I said, no I do not have the name or number, why didn't you get it, she said well they talk so fast and they wouldn't slow down and I couldn't understand her, she didn't get the time at all, she always does that she takes messages don't bother to make them speak slowly or clearly, don't take half the message and then passes on only half the information. It makes me mad. I have told her time and time again make them slow down, make them repeat themself, these messages are important, and she never does, so now, I have a return job interveiw she almost didn't tell me about, and no fucking clue as to what time it is, so I have to go down to the rec center as soon as they open, see if any body knows, and try to figure it out. Chances are I might of already missed the interveiw. I hope not. on the bright side I can pop into Rio Linda Hardware an get some washers I want for a craft project.

I just wish she'd learn how to take fricken phone messages effectivly.

From your post, it appears as though this is not an uncommon occurance. Remove the responsibility from someone else and get your own phone line with an answering machine/voicemail. Then there's no missed messages and no one else to blame.

This actually provides a great opportunity for you to call everyone you have interviewed with for the past couple of weeks. Call them all and ask about a second interview. Tell them exactly what happened. You may find out who called, but also you may end end up with a couple more second interviews.

When I get a lot of applications for positions sometimes I make the final decision based upon how the applicant follows up the application/interview. You're mom has given you reason for you to call. Your call will get your application looked at again, even if it wasn't considered for a 2nd interview. Often those second interview calls don't work out and they review the next stack of applicants. Your call can get you noticed when it wasn't the first time around.

And always send a thank you letter after the interview.
I obtained a job once because I sent a thank you letter and my competition didn't. We were that close in the running that my letter got me the job.

We found out, it's at 1:40. I'm all showered and ready to go, just waiting for it to be time!!!!!!! I think it's probably a good idea, to have my own answering machine. I don't give my phone number to general people, But given that messages only get half way delivered lol, i probably should. I could upgrade to a phone with an in machine answering set up, and a better ringer than my borrowed phone has, it rings so softly sometimes ya won't hear it.
