ORIGINAL: CirclMastr One thing that stood out in hindsight was the fact that I was asked whether I was a dom, but it wasn't asked whether I was straight/gay/bisexual. I realize that it's generally assumed in vanilla society that a person is straight until there's evidence to the contrary, and it got me to thinking if that carries over into BDSM or not. Of course, I could easily be overanalyzing. (And just to save everyone from clicking on my profile, I am in fact straight.) Glad that you had a good time. As for tha assumption that you are straight, it really depends on what type of an event it was. If you attended an event that was put together by the het comunity then they will assume that you are straight. If you attended an event that was put together by the gay ommunity they might assume that you are gay or at least bi. I remember one time the three of us went to a Leather convention in Tampa. The hotel was closed to convention attendees only and alandra and I were getting dressed, our Lord was sitting on the bed waiting and the door to our room was open. A group of men walked by and made the comment, "two lesbians and they have a guy with them!?!" Alandra and I just started laughing. If we had been at a BDSM convention the most likely assumption would be that we are two submissives to the male dominant. It all depends on the community you are involved with. Knight's kyra
