I wondered if anybody else finds it amusing how many people on here will write you and it is obvious they didn't take the time to read your profile? Just wondered how others thought about that?

I'm sure that if you take the time to do a search and see if this topic has been covered before, it will turn up enough links to keep you amused from now until the second Tuesday of next week.

Yes and it is just as amusing when i get e-mails that sound like i have just been waiting for him to write me and how i should be so grateful.    (They crack me up).

Oddly enough it really does not bother me , if it sounds silly or just not what I seek I trash it, I do read profiles but it could be after we have already had a conversation , not meaning anyharm sometimes it just happens that way .

Call me old fashioned, but I can remember the day when people just struck up conversations with strangers. You didn't need profiles, appointments, checklists or background checks, you just talked to people, and in the course of that you found out things about them.

Well Thanks for the replies. I completely read a profile and if there is even one thing that doesn't match, I won't write the person/persons. I guess some people feel that they will get lucky or something.

Depends what they write. I get plenty from guys who clearly havent read my profile - some who just write to compliment my pics  -which is nice, and some who write pledging or asking, from the other side of the world  -which is just daft. And then there are the trolls......

Hello my love.

Will be waiting for you hope to chat with you like i always online 5pm evreday.
Much care.

I'm 56 and I noticed that a lot of ladies don't mention the age limits that they're looking for in their profiles.
There are many who like the "Daddy" thing though.
I may respond to 10 different profiles and receive 0 replies probably half of them don't answer because of my age.
I'm 56 I'm not crippled or anything like that! I still have all my working parts.
I do try to read a profile thouroughly before replying though.
If it says "not looking" I don't write.
For a while last year I was getting replies from guys!
I should have refered them to Michael of Georgia.
It says clearly that I'm looking for females only.
I've noticed a few profiles that I really like but they say they're not willing to relocate.
That's kind of a problem because it'd be very tough leaving this beautiful area being so close to the beaches and nice weather and swimming pools for Podunk Hole in the sticks somewhere.
Plus, I own two new condos here as well.

When I get a note from a bisexual, switch cross-dresser that wants to be my slave, I ask them politely, to tell me what in my profile made them think they would be of interest to me.

Not reading profiles is par for the course online.
I too am guilty of that, especially if they are long and boring.

Yes, this is true, we still do strike up conversations with total strangers (at least I do). But even before the internet I never went out of my way to write strangers and expect that they would respond back.

It's especially amusing when you get am email from someone who tells you how wonderful you sound and what a good match you would make yadda yadda only to find you both know each other quite well, having met initially on another site, and your profile is the same on both sites (name diffrent).  Just goes to show how many are really "form letter fishing" on these sites.

Call me old fashioned, but I can remember a world where profiles were not even necessary...Where your fate was sealed by the town's matchmaker.
