I have been asked by a potential Master to write a petition on why I think he should consider me as his slave. Can anyone give me some input or advice to what this entails?

Can't you ask him? You could get 20 different answers here. I would think that he would give you the necessary information to complete this petition.. after all, you will be counting on his guidance to become the type of slave he desires in the end. Is this online or real time...

Dear, only you can write such a thing. Let it flow from your heart. If the words aren't there, then you may not be right for the "position" as his slave. It can be as vast as anything you imagine. As far as length and style of writing, well, you'd be best off asking this Man rather than anyone here. It is afterall between he and yourself. Remember that.

well, to be quite honest, only you can answer that question. what do you feel inside? what do you have to offer Him that nobody else can offer? how do you feel about Him deep inside?

that's just the basics, but what it all boils down to is how you feel inside, how your heart and soul feel about belonging to Him.

I am going on the assumption that you honestly believe this Master is who you are seeking. If so, the only thing I can suggest is to write out your reasons why you want to give the potential Master your submission. Write from the heart and be as honest as possible, about yourself and your wantsand your needs. A Master will appreciate your honesty and see what you write is coming from the heart and know that is TRUTH. All Masters want to see the intent and gauge the amount of desire a slave has to serve. I wish you well.

How about "I want to be your owned slave. I understand all of the expectations you can have of me for the next year, five years, decade and beyond. I understand how we will live in our lives, our families lives, what your training process consists of, and what standards to which you will have me live."

Personally, those are the only conditions under which I'd seriously consider giving a collar, or asking for one.

Why are you even seriously considering petitioning someone you don't even know HOW to petition? WOuldn't that be a big sign that maybe you aren't connected enough to make that sort of commitment yet?

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help. That gives me a much better idea. I do know what I want to say, just didn't know how to get it started. I have never been asked to write a petition before.

I am kind of surprised that only one person has suggested that the Master also write what he is offering YOU and passed it off as a joke.

If this is real life, becoming someones slave is a HUGE deal, something that I once learned from another slave and from my Mentor was not to be undertaken lightly.. because the idea at least is that once you submit there is no turning back. So, quite seriously.. I personally believe there should be an 'exhange' of information here.. what does he offer YOU, how compatible are you both. That is just for starters.

LOL Honeslty I joke about it to make it more palatable, I find the entire idea assinign and stupid that the slave should have to write a potition eather he wants her or not eather they are compatable or not it is up to BOTH of them to see if they offer eachother what the other is looking for and there for for the sub to be asked to write one without the Dom offering one to seems pointless

I've never heard of a petition being used in a sole user sense. I presume this 'master' doesn't want your thoughts and 10,000 people agreeing.

I can understand the merit of the exercise. Although I never asked it of My Pet, if I did ask her to write what she had to offer me, the list wouldn't matter... What was her attitude like in response to the command? How long did it take her? How long is it? How well thought through is it? How deeply did she delve into her abilities and values? Did she make the petition look pretty? Many aspects are present that lay below the surface. If I ask My Pet to bring me the newspaper, it's not that she brings it to me. It's that she smiles and kneels when handing it to me. If he is a good master, he is already familiar with what you have to offer, just by the scent you give off.

As a Master who uses the petition process, I can tell you that for me it is the opening of the more formal (written) part of negotiating the relationship. When I recieve a petition I'm looking for it to be an indicator of how the person views themselves and me. I'm looking for something that indicates theperson has really thought this out. Something that tells me they are not only operating in the emotional world but also taking the time to operate in the practical world. Do they see themselves as a worthy human being?

I actually prefer the "Out of all the Master's/ Dominants in the world why are you selecting to petition me?" question to the Why should I consider you? question.

Having to put it on paper makes most people really think about a question.
Show them that you have looked at the reasons for getting into the relationship from multiple angles.

Heaven'Keeper has a similar view to mine. It's supposed to make you display that you have thought it out.
Make you take a good honest self inventory of skills abilities and what you are bringing to the relationship.

The dominant is fishing, he doesn't know what to ask, doesn't know what he wants, and certainly doesn't know how to ask for it and or guide his woman to the goal.

I wouldn't put too much work into it.

I was puzzled by the fact that the person who asked the question has the nic "not looking" so went to check the profile - but it was "not found" No wonder the Dominant wants a petition if He has so little information about this potential sub! And he must be desperate for a sub if he's prepared to accept a petition from a n apparently non existent person...

That's not fair....they may know each other real time, have lived together or been seeing each other for years...we don't know that. If they met at a munch but she wants opinions from people not close to them, then googling and finding CM is a good way to do that. I have a Top who pops in every so often to check out my journal and writings here....we've known each other real time for a few years and he's never had a CM account. Should he determine he has something to say, he won't create a profile, but pop in just like this person.

To the OP: I will presume that you are a happy couple and both ready to make this commitment. What is in your heart? How do you feel about this dominant? How does he feel about you? What makes you want to spend your life with him? What are you offering to him? What does he give to you? Outline those things then write it down in prose.

How about starting with a numbered list, using that as an outline....then expand on each item after you have finished the original list, filling in the details.

Focus on talents, abilities, skills, physical appearance, charitable nature or whatever else it is that you believe would please Him about YOU, in particular, becoming His slave.

After a rough draft is finished, create a final product...checking for correct spelling is always a nice touch.

Hi,
If you look at my profile in the journal there is an article on expectations, I suggest that you red it, that would be a great place to start, just be as honest as possible, and don't try to write what you think he might like to hear..
