I have been in the site now for about 4 days and am trying to learn all I can.
I don't really understand the difference or clearly see the difference between sub or slave?
Is there any?

Thank You for this wonderful place to find answers ,
Frank

Peace to A/all. I believe the difference would be in the level of surrender. Mostly I hear that a sub is someone who surrender's their will, yet establishes limits within the relationship of activities She/he will not do. A slave on the other hand relinquishes any and all rights to limits of activities. One must go into any relationship with an open mind, yet keep your wits about you. Safe, sane and consensual should be the rule to any relationship, and activities within.

DameDeviante,
It would seem to me then if one where to be safe it is better to hold some strenght.Just not give yourself to some stranger?
If I am a sub I can still have even a small say in what happens to me until the Relationship grows and is established?

Click on search above, type in slavery, and you'll find a boatload of info...
Plus there are glossaries of terms you can look up as well.
I'm sorry I don't know how to place the links here.. M

Firstly lionheart67 never give yourself to a stranger EVER!!! That is just plain foolish... doesn't matter if you are a sub or slave.

As to your question...
Oh God not again!!
This topic has been beat to death, drove in the ground, broken off, dug up again & beaten dead again. You will never have that answered not after 4 days, not after 4 yrs or 40.

It has nothing to do with levels or intensities or any of that. Your best bet is to truly discover what it is you want, what you would like to explore... what triggers you good or bad & be able to effectively communicate this to a partner that is compatible.

Yeah, it's a legitimate question, but it's been discussed over and over on the boards. You'll find lots of good threads if you search for them.

The primary difference in a sub and slave is ownership. A sub has the rights to choose and make determinations for their own life. Once a slave signs over ownership, they belong to their Mistress/Master. It is a huge responsibility owning a slave.
I have one, and I am responsible for him.

Respectfully,

As a Mistress, I think it is important to define what it is O/one is looking for. The following definition is one that works for Me and is found in the following quote: “To endure for one’s pleasures is the trait of a submissive, but to derive pleasure from that endurance because it is pleasing to one’s OWNER is the trait of a slave.” A slave lives for and derives his own pleasure from his Mistress’ pleasure. That is not to say, however, that a slave is a spineless or broken person. On the contrary, a slave is strong, healthy, happy, competent, assured and stable which enables him to reach within himself to offer up his essence, control, dreams, hopes, and his life to his Mistress.

If you are a slave that can identify with this definition, contact Me!

In addition to the threads on this site, I might also reccommend two sites, www.castelrealm.com, and www.fetishalliance.net. Good luck, and welcome....

hi everybody

Just to put in my two cents. Ya know being new to the BDSM scene here in SoCal.

i always figured that the difference between a sub and a slave is freedom and choice. A slave is honor bound to agree with the Mistress (Master) while the subie has the option to agree/disagree.

well just my two cents
