I keep running across nurses on this site and am curious about how many of us are on here.  Please tell me a little about your nursing career.

I've been a nurse for 16 years, submissive in the bedroom, switchy on the boards.  Classically trained in operating room nursing, I now work in outpatients.  I have a diploma as well as a degree in nursing.

I'm an LPN and dominant.  I do bottom on occasion (fun fun).  14 years in nursing....My career has evolved from LTC (5 years) to hospital work as a secretary (hospital didnt' hire LPN's) and then I ran a staffing office, started a bariatric clinic then moved...so I went into pediatric home health and my most recent work was pediatric hospice and intake.  I am currently not working because I'm getting my MBA (currently hold a BS in healthcare administration) and hope very much to get my happy butt into administration of pediatric hospice.  It is truly a calling for me.  I love it.  One day, I aspire to getting my RN but it seems a distant goal right now with everything else going on in my life.

I am a registered radiologic technologist, (x-ray tech).
It is nothing special, but I am not a nurse, so maybe this doesn't belong here.

My dream is to cross train as an sono tech, but I don't know if I will ever get there.

And, obviously I am a slave, at home anyway.

Aurora...it's a tad more applicable imho than a vet tech.  Thanks for your input!

I am a nurse and have been for 2 1/2 years.  I started as an X-ray tech and found it very boring standing behind a lead wall saying hold your breath.......Breathe.  I swore I would never become a nurse but I was working in a doctors office as a medical assistant and the older doctor in the practice mentioned that he thought I would make a great nurse.  I avoided it for a few years then started taking a few clases towards my degree.  Once I got into the actual nursing classes I fell in love with it.  I work mainly in Oncology/Hematology but also have my ACLS so I do go to the Progressive Care Unit as well.  I am a sub and for me its more of an escape from reality since I must remain in charge with everything at work its nice to come home and give up that control to someone else.

I'm a LVN and have been a nurse for more than 30 years.  Man, the changes I have seen in that time.....sighs.  I am dominant, always have been and a very sadistic.  Although I do like to bottom for the sheer sensation of some impact play.

I have worked a variety of fields but the bulk of my nursing has been divided between Corrections nursing and community based developmental delayed case management nursing.  Although I am proud of my work and what I do I am also quite tired of it all too.  Hence the reason I am pursuing education in an entirely different field of work.  I want a chance to be free from call, global responsibility and work towards keeping people healthy instead of picking up the pieces after their health fails.
