You have to love the political correct attitude that prevents assimilation and promotes all cultures as equal. People get pissed when you say that Muslims refuse to stop living in the 16th century. When was Romeo and Juliet written?

Slaveboy, yup, and seeing that "Honor Killings" are part of their "culture" I don't want any part of their culture. It seems as though people in our govt and on the left will promote any culture or beliefs (other) than Western culture for whatever reason I just don't know. I really do think that having third worlders immigrate to Western countries is doing us a lot more damage than good. I'm one of those Americans who is ready for a 25 year "time out" on all immigration.

They kill their own child because they're afraid of risking a feud with another family if they kill the daughter's lover. And people think WE have problems with immigration. He seems to be the only one running in either party that wants us to get out of the middle east and leave these people to their own devices. I honestly think one of the best things we could do is to restructure the Border Patrol to be more like the Coast Guard. We can do that and stop people from sneaking in here. We need more time to assimilate those that legally immigrate, and a moratorium on immigration would help do that.

The question is how can Western societies aid women in such circumstances? The victim did go to the police and to a safe house, but ultimately returned home and to her death.

Probably because the PC brigade have made police overly sensitive to dealing with people of other cultures. The police are often damned if they do something and damned if they don't in these type of cases.

Also dont forget that it has been reported that the Kurd community hampered the police in their enquires into this incident and tried to provide alibis for the family. These people represent the kind of detritus, fancy word for rubbish, that the PC brigade tell us are so deserving and whose presence enhance the quality of life in the UK. Where is NG when you need him ? I expect he will tell us that its all a problem of consumerism or Murdoch doesnt pay enough tax.

I'll have to go with popeye here. I don't care what people do in other countries. I thought people emmigrated for a new way of life. Maybe all this shit is legal in bumfucked Egypt somewhere, so that is where they should be. Y'know I agree with some of the radical values. Killing for reasons we in the west do not agree with. That is THEIR culture. But when they bring it to a western society and it conflicts with the law of the land, either comply, die or leave. Old Asian.Japanes/Chinese whatever culture is different too, people would legally kill their families in some cases. Guess what, that ain't here. Ever see or read Shogun ? That guy wanted to be there and he had to learn their ways and try to fit in. That is fully what I would expect to do under the circumstances. I live within what I would call my culture, but if I were to move to a Arab country it would be foolish to think I could do what I do here. Crank the tunes, burn one in the backyard. Probably be dead in a week, so I don't go. I do not make judgement concerning the killing of this girl. However I will comment on it. They must be Arab. And they must see Women and children as property. People who hold these views in the west generally keep them under wraps, and it comes out in the form of abuse. All this shit comes out of religion. Some guy said that god said............ Let me translate that : Some guy said. Period. By the same token, what gave the crusaders the right to wage holy wars ? To be evangelistic at the point of a sword ? And why didn't they go after the Arab and Asian cultures. The Nordic races were doing just fine, and IMO, again the wrong side won. Enough for now. T
