Understand that this is the same culture whose courts rutinely sentence women to be raped, often as punishment to male family membershttp

...i'm fairly sure that's not true, even in Birmingham.

Yes, it would be easier if the people holding these type of views, committing these killings and condoning the practice stayed out of Western countries.  But they are here and the question remains as to how to handle such situations.

In California, if the police suspect child or spouse abuse, they are required to arrest the perpetrator whether or not the victim / survivor wants to press charges.

Ven, that's easy, Deportation.
Thirty years ago if you were here on a Visa and got a DWI, you were deported.
Shoplifting? Deportation.
Any crime and you were Deported, no ifs ands or buts.
We need to go back to what worked before.

The problem is, we cant deport many of those come here.

The refugees we cant deport because of fears for their safety if they were returned home. The problem being, that we take in as refugees even the worst terrorist types who are in fear for their safety in their own countries because they are such a pain in the neck. Much of the terrorist problem we have in the UK is because we offered safe haven to these nutters when the French kicked them out.

The illegal immigrants we cant deport because for one we dont know how many are here and who/where they are, for two because theyre much too clever - they deliberately destroy all their ID when they get here, so we have no idea where to send them back to even if theyre caught. My brother is an immigration officer - the above is just the tip of the iceberg.
