Ohhhh...you meant GUILT...not QUILT. I really had no idea what you were talking about.

Anyway, I don't believe it's a sin, and I don't believe that anyone who is married and has a partner necessarily has a guilty mind. So I can't really identify with much of what you've written here.

L&M,
He called it a "sin".

Tom50:...it's a sin to be married and in this lifestyle.
Calling anything a sin implies taking on some guilt. At least in my mind.

To achieve what I call the "sensational" your mind must be guilt free. (see above reference to "sin".)

Kenin, where do you see that he has lied to anyone? His whole complaint is that he loses potential partners BY TELLING THE TRUTH.

I may have misinterpreted where he is coming from. I am drawing a conclusion from the lack of status in his profile. Now, to give the guy fair credit he does say he can not subscribe to lying to T/them if they ask, but My view is that he is deceiving by not putting the info in there in the first place. Why would someone conveniently forget to do that? Think about it, then draw your own conclusions.

L&M,
DAMN - I guess I did burn out my brain with this move. [8D] See what happens when you rely on spell check too much and your brain reads what you meant to say and NOT what you wrote! Sorry about that!

Honesty is a relative thing. Give me a lever and you will beg to be allowed to be honest about burning the reichstag...which you did.....

Honesty is relative? And comparing what you say to your spouse to a hiding a Jewish person from the Nazis? If you can't be honest to your spouse or your life partner why have one? You can rationalize all you want about not wanting to hurt him/her but in reality you are hurting both you and her.

I don' think any philosopher can help you rationalize that comparison is accurate.

I took that "it's a sin" bit to be tongue in cheek. Tom50 is running into tooo many people who act as if "it's a sin" for him to be in the lifestyle when he is married. If he lies, which he does not wish to do, (other than a lie of omission, perhaps, if he can get away with it), then he is called out as a liar. If he is truthful, then he is called out as a "cheater". He thinks he is in a lose-lose-situation.
To clarify, I look at this profile and what he has written here, and put it together to mean that his wife does not know anything of his extra-curricular activies, he has pretty minimal interests, he cannot really take on a full time slave or submissive, and he really is mainly into couples for cuckolding activities.
He may have had a few jollies along the way with a couple or a willing female sub here and there who really don't care or bother to question his marital status. But he is running into more that cut off communication when it comes out that he is engaging in these activities without his wife's knowledge and consent. It looks to Me that he is not just playing online, which may end up being unhealthy, but within reason, can be harmless. When the ultimate agenda is to take it into a r/l scene, couples are not willing to go along. And many female subs are not willing to go along either. I am just trying to reason why this poster is having the problem he is complaining about.
Interesting that Tom50 has not been back to respond or clarify his own position here.

I think what Merc is trying to say is that a lie is a FABRICation ... that's where all the quilt comes in! [;)]
