Hello everyone, from cornprincess( a submissive)
Only here looking for friends, learning about BDSM , and myself. Last time posted I got unfairly attacked, this time being very plain, hopefully I won't have that happen again, but who knows. Yes I live in Iowa where the corn grows tall and the minds are closed. We know everything about the weather and nothing about the real world.[8D]

I didn't read the thread all the way thru, ( didn't even know it existed til just now.)  I am sorry you got such a poor reception of our website,cornprincess, it can be hard for some to understand the idea of someone just because of their gender,(or anything for that matter.) is worthless. I admit I have a problem with it too. But I am pretty openminded and  accept that there are many other aspects of the lifestyle.  And also, (in case this wasn't mentioned in the thread.) I think alot of people thought it was a joke, because of where the thread was at.  I have done a few times, wanted so much to post something, that I had accidently posted it, in the wrong forum.  Anyways, I hope this time around you enjoy your stay.

Take it from me and ask anyone on here, attacks happened and I just got a barrage of post blasting me but you have to be thick skinned and read between the lines. Some post will seem like they are attacking you but the hold really good tips and information. Try and keep and cool head and don’t go off on anyone (at least not publicly), it tells people you cant handle yourself as a mature and sane person. Good luck and welcome back!

Um, I'm from Iowa too. And IMO, I think this is an unfair generalization.

Not everyone here is closeminded; and ignorant of the real world. Next time, please try to not include gross generalizations in your introduction.

I have only been unfairly attacked in emails rather than forums so far, but I come from the big city.  [:D]

Seriously, I was naive enough to think that a site like this would have fewer close minded people, but it seems there are not. Or at least the closeminded ones seem to make the most noise here.

I believe she was being playful and joking in her post...(i assume because of the smiley face sticking it's tongue out at the end of her post)...people take things too literally and many people on this site have sticks up their butts (to use a polite term!)

Welcome back.
There are people who will takeeverything you say wrong, somewhere.  Some will comment on it, some wont. If you try and please everyone all the time, you'l never be able to post your opinions. Try not to be outwardly offensive, but dont try and sugar coat to make everyone happy.
Flames happen, if you dont let them get to you and you dont get overly defensive about it, they usually die off.

Well, I am a masochist, so sticks work for me.

Plus, not all sticks are pointy and cause splinters. some can be smooth, depending on the type of wood they're made of.
