Oh please....  Everyone has to start somewhere. Someone has to be the first or with luck first and only.

Pretty selfish for the slaves to only want Masters that have owned a cascade of slaves don't you think? Plus if someone has had lots of short term slaves I would see that as a bigger issue then someone that had none.

A very interesting topic...
 
When I met my Master he had owned only one submissive for 1 1/2 years, if memory serves me correct...and at that point, I had a few long-term relationships with Doms in a 9 year period.
 
So, we were pretty even....He had not owned a slave and I had not belonged to a Master.
 
I will confess I was a little leary about his experience, but as I learned more about Him, I realized it's not how long you've owned someone or even belonged to someone...But what matters most is who You are.
 
Master is a natural born Dominant, a man of integrity and honor. He has truly Mastered his own life.  His experience of ownership has not been a key factor at all.  Life has been his experience and I will add he is a wonderful Master and knows how to take care of His property.

well...........

First off a part of me says I would want my Dom to have had at least one submissive under his care before. I think it gives me a sence that he may have a grasp on what he is doing.

BUT - when I was in opening talks with other men when I was searching for my Dom I never really asked about the other girls (or lack there of). I asked questions to see how well they had "Mastered" themselves.

So thinking back on it ........I don't guess it was a big deal to me.

Indeed akisha.  Master has been involved in the lifestyle for over 11 years now and has been involved with a few different submissives over the years.  None were live-in or 24/7.  He had never owned a slave until me.  I see it as a great honor to be the first submissive He chose to own and have as His slave.  I am His first and His only (His words).  What's not to love about that?[:D]

I couldn't agree more.  Having experience with lots of submissives is one thing.  Having owned alot of slaves who are no longer in His life is, in my opinion, quite another.  That would raise some big red flags as to why they had all gone and gone so quickly...........slave luci

Thank god my slave did. I'd had submissives before, but not a slave. Not only that, but she has 25 more years of experience than I do, being 20 years older.

i'm not Daddy's first daughter however i'm His first collared daughter-submissive.  i never thought to ask about His previous track record with other submissives even though He had a sharp eye for picking the submissive that He wanted and what saw in me.  i feel honored to know i have a "sister" who's part of our little family.

I would be willing . . ... . i think it would be a terrific learning experience for both.  As a submissive, you have to be trained to your Masters liking ~ so, i see no problem ~ learning your Masters wants is the whole big picture ~ aside from the chemistry. . ... ... . .i vote yes.

I'm assuming that even members of the FemDomme/malesub side of the fence can answer as well.

The first thing for me to consider is whether the person is sane, stable, and has common sense.  I don't care if they have had 50 slaves before...if i can't trust them then it is a "no go" situation.  On the other hand, even if they are young and/or inexperienced, if they show that they can think, have common sense, are stable enough not to "freak out" at the first sign of something possibly going wrong, etc., then it would not bother me to be their first sub or slave. 

Just because someone has had slaves or subs before does not mean that you can automatically trust them!

And if a submissive jumps into a D/s relationship without knowing their dominant partner well enough to trust them, then they have no one to blame but themselves if things go wrong.

i guess that i'm in the minority and yes they have to start somewhere, no doubt, i just wouldn't want them to start on me.

Also, yes, the way they Master themselves is extremely important and if they have owned a slew of slaves for short periods it may or may not speak badly of them but,

Having been involved in a on again off again BDSM relationship prior to my Daddy and trying to learn with him i knew that i would never do THAT again...I told myself if there was ever another that he would be experienced.

So for me, that has been what's worked so far.

I am my Masters 1st slave...however He had done some online and LDR stuff before He and i met.  I feel comfortable with Master because He is a thoughtful and careful man...He would not try anything He wasnt comfortable with for both our safeties sake. I'm thinking its that trust and confidence i have in Him that causes me not to worry too much that i am His 1st

For me it depends more on the human and his passion about this lifestyle, his ability to learn, and ability to be honorable WAY more than prior time served  for me.
I'd rather be his first slave, than a slave to a Master who's home is like a revolving door.
I also think a newer fresher Master may not be bogged down with all the baggage from ill behaved or selfish sub's some of the old timers carry.
New does not mean ineligible to me in any way.

Personally i would rather have a Dom who has owned no /s types than had 10. In the beginning of learning and exploring a new relationship i always asked how many have You owned. To me if they have had many there is something wrong that He could not hang on to one.
Though my Master has been in the lifestyle for 20 years He has only owned one other and He owned her for 10 years. To me that is a much better track record.
 
Just my opinion
