Master is looking to get a splended snake whip about 4-6 feet. He wants a good weighted handle, but wants nice smooth leather. He has been looking all over and can not find one. Does anyone know any good custom whip makers who DO NOT deal in mexican leather ?

My master does not like the feel of it or the quality, but maybe we have jsut not seen good quality????

I was over at Stormy Leather in San Francisco last Friday for an art opening. Paula, the store manager, was playing with this beautiful 4 foot singletail. It's a very sensual whip, short enough for control, light enough for subtle play, and with nice balance.

That should do it for you.

You might also try Midnight Blues Whips they deal in singletails from various whip makers around the world, Victor Tellas (sp) down in Florida makes some really impressive whips as well, actually met him this weekend, at Orlando Bash.

Mike Murphy Murphywhips.com does great work and the exchange rate helps with price.

Aulstralian plaiter's guild websiote would be another good resource.
