Yesterday evening we were out running errands. As I get out of the car he tells me to leave my purse in the car. I asked about my cell, if one of the junior members of the family call - he has his, they can call him.

So we ran our errands with me off balance the entire time. I knew he wasn't going to take off leaving me no car, no keys, no money, no phone with a five mile walk home. I knew that. And yet the change was extraordinary in how I felt.

He's done this other times usually if we're going out to dinner when I'm only allowed an evening bag with tissues and a lipstick.

But by taking away my purse, he takes away a huge amount of my control over myself and my surroundings.

What a nice little story; almost a parable.

I think I'd like this guy. I can see why you do.

I'm a femdom and I have made a man carry a purse, but that's different of course.

The closest thing to this I have done is sat down at a restaurant with a man and taken away all of his silverware. Not an extremely nice restaurant, but not a dump either.  Enough privacy to sort out our situation relatively quietly without offending other patrons but still very uncomfortable for the guy.

I also took away the menus.

That's pretty damn hot.

I'm really, really attached to my bag. I feel completely naked going out without it, and when I have it activated my cell phone, wallet, and various make-up/handy items stay attached to my shoulder at all times. Even when I have nothing important in it, I have to carry it. To have to leave it would make me feel incredibly vulnerable and quite nervous. I'd probably be glued to His arm the entire evening.

Evanesce -> RE: No Purse (6/18/2007 10:14:47 PM)

More often than not, when we go out, the Kaptin has my change purse with my credit cards, license and cash in His pocket, and I carry nothing.  I like it that way.  [:)]

What a wonderful way to exhibit control in a perfectly normal vanilla setting.  i absolutely love things like that!  The mental aspects of D/s are often forgetten in the quest to do more "activities" or more edgy play.  When my mind is in the right space it's well... it's just plain hot.

He also takes away the ability for you to be identified should something happen, for you to receive medical treatment should you both be injured and comatose---and next of kin notified and identity theft if the car and your purse are stolen---sorry that is the cop in Me, somethings just should not be messed with---there is real life out here people. I don't see that as control, I see it as asking for trouble.

He sounds like a brilliant Dom!  The truly good ones can do this - some small action or even just a look and a word or two, and you're a simmering puddle for hours.  It's great that he gives you little surprises like this now and then, to keep defining the relationship.  You're a very fortunate woman.

MH, as I said this is a small town with only two murders in the last ten years, one of which was out of town drug dealers meeting here in a parking lot. And he still had his id including cell phone and license showing where we live. Plus since it is a small town, I happened to know one of the clerks in the store. I rarely lock the doors during daytime. I have been known to leave the car keys in the car accidently while running in for milk indeed it is routine to see people leave their cars running when they go into a minimart for coffee.

The highest cause of death in this county is deer/automobile accidents.

Yeah, gotta watch them deer! One of my adult 'little girls' recently lost her car to a 9 point buck. Fortunately, no one was injured beyond a few bumps and bruise
Sounds like your Dom really knows his way around. Let's hope some of the newbies and/or wannabes read this and take a lesson.

Hahahaha .. I hear ya. If I don't have my debit card, cell phone and lip balm with me at all times I feel more than naked. I feel maimed.

BINGO. Hense why even when I jog, I carry my CDL, Medical Card, my ICE [in case of emergancy] card, cell phone, inhaler and $20, just in case. I can squeeze all of that into my cell phone case, so its not that bad. Fresno and its surrounding areas have OVER 500,000 people, so keeping ID and that sorta stuff on me is a MUST.

MJ knows about my medical bs, so He keeps an eye on things, HE even reminds me to grab my inhaler if I forget when we go out, so does everyone else I know. Later today I will have a few 'dog tags' made up for my mother and for myself with medical info on them, with "ICE" on the front. So, if I don't have my purse with me, at least some critical info will be avaliable.

In every relationship I've been in, not a single mistress has ever allowed me to carry a purse. But I'm going to go out on a limb and believe that may be for completely different reasons. Number one, I'm not a woman, and number two, I'm not a feminized sub in any way, shape or form.

Fox has carried my purse for me before and even Tom has held it and waited for me if I went into the bathroom or something and didn't need it.

In fact, Fox will reach for my purse to carry just as often as he reaches for any shopping bags we have. I like to tease him and call him my mulefox.

Well, that's different. I do that for my female friends all of the time. I don't get embarrassed by that sort of thing anymore. A friend of mine used to call me up and ask me to pick up tampons, knowing that I'd been with her to the store enough times to know which ones she wanted. Never bothered me to stand in line with them like it does some other guys. I figured at one point, is the clerk going to honestly think they're for me?

MercTech -> RE: No Purse (6/19/2007 12:34:16 PM)

The first thing that popped to mind was; Is it the purse to be left behind or the cellular appendage often grafted to the ear?

I know that when shopping I need driver's liscense, car keys, and debit card.
I often take cellphone, ipod, PDA (loaded with books for those boring waits) and the rest of the "wallet trash" of biz cards, gas cards, etc.

Needs vs likes....

charismagirrl -> RE: No Purse (6/19/2007 12:50:17 PM)

i already posted here on this topic but have read a bunch mentioning their ID's and cells....my Daddy holds my ID for me when we go out sometimes and it gives me a great feeling because i am his sooo and then the cell phone thing, the most important ppl have his number as well and if they needed me in an emergency they would call him

This also reminded me of when we went to Canada last year and my Daddy kept a hold of my Birth Certificate....when i handed it to him on the drive to the airport he made some mention of it only be fitting for him to hold it....how warm and squishy that made me feel [:)][:)]

Argentopal -> RE: No Purse (6/19/2007 1:49:29 PM)

My purse is often locked in the car or truck, out of sight.  Sometimes I do carry it if I am going to be the one doing the actual purchasing.  Sometimes I just carry his reading glasses, sometimes just my cell so we can call each other inside Dom Depot to see where we are. If we leave the house to go out to dinner I do not even take the purse out with me.  One of my rules is to always have his reading glasses, so I have a pair in my truck so that when I am sans purse I still have the required glasses.

In my county motorists also have to watch out for the big ruminants that go: "Mhooooooo!" But they are usually easy to spot with their big, shiny Safety Police badges.
