Why do so many profiles say the same thing? a lo of them say "I am a very sexual, attractive, strict and skilled Dominant with a strong mind and body. I have much experience, and strong need to dominate and use in endless ways. I have done MY “homework” and know the power of the mind, understand the gift of submission and know well the role of a Master in the care and development of the submissive/slave mind. Its not just about kinky sex, but about the blend of sex, control, submission and emotional needHave been a Servent before, But have found that I reather enjoy being the Master. Im in St. louis MO, And have had several servents, both online and off. I perfure Females, but have been a master to Couples before and sorry guys I dont do males only. Have expericne in Ropes, Golden showers, Humilation, and Gorean sytles of Domination. So for all thows that are Seeking a master Look at me and u Chose. Once u have chosen me thow be perpared for a new world of expences." Hey it sounds good but i doubt anyone means it since everyone says it. Jozie

Hehehehehe. Yeah, understand just what you are saying. When my Master and i were first writing ours, we tried to avoid the 'normal' profiles. My problem with such profiles is that they are boasting themselves, but when you ask for backup, they dont have it. My favs though are the 'new' Doms/Masters, that have no real life experience yet they are calling themselves Master. How can one do that if they have mastered nothing, not even themselves?? 1st girl Phoenix

I think its because they're based on a "cut and paste" sample profile from the "How To Be a Master" handbook......[:D]

they say they have "done there homework" but most don't even know what bdsm stands for. I always ask that to see how serious they are. If they get defemsive the don't know. lol

my profile works good. It weeds out the non serious lazy idiots. And those to full of themselve to fill out the form. But it's hard to find a bisexual dom that can look past disabilty. Angel

I'm a bisexual dominant who not only has no issue with people who have physical limitations, I am a nurse and have worked with many. many types of disablities. I highly doubt your disabilities are the main issues. In my opinion it is your highly specialized demands for what each of you must have in a dominant.

I think that, once you boil it all down, there are just so many ways to say what they want to say. They probably believe that is the best way to get what they are after. I hope people don't judge me too harshly by my profile, I had no idea what to say. Joseff

"Why do so many profiles say the same thing?" Two things come to mind. 1) The so many of the Dom profiles say the same thing because that's what so many subs are looking for; so many sub profiles say the same thing because that's what so many Doms are looking for. 2) An utter lack of creativity. I don't mean this as in "stupid." Rather it is like "Scene homogenization" where our subculture pushes or tries to push people into the same general mold.

I would think it's because people don't really want to "scare off" potential mates with something too out there.

snickers Some people don't have much of an imagination, or are clueless as to how to write a profile. Of course some may say the same about me. shrugs

I don't find it surprising that so many profiles are similar. People look for clues from others as to what the "format" is and copy it. No one wants to look like an idiot who doesn't know the rules of the "club." My view is that we should rejoice in the fact that there are so many clones, because it makes those of us who are different stand out from the rest of the crowd. :)) LH

i have never read a profile like the one you ar describing.....but i would ad my 2 cents here and say i am not surprised you are not finding what you are looking for, your profile is some what grating.

Jozie It is a kooky thing, the way people choose to present themselves. Isn't it? But, honestly, do that many people say they are in St. Louis? And surely they don't all spell as badly as that? Wow. Don't you wonder whether that slovenly carelessness extends to other aspects of his life as well? I mean if he won't take a half a minute to run spellcheck on this presentation which will represent him to the world for some time, you have to wonder whether he spares a moment every week or so week to brush his teeth, or whether he would be attentive enough to notice whether his partner had swallowed her ball-gag. But then again maybe some subbies are looking for sloppy, careless doms. There are all kinds of kinks out there. Give that guy credit, though, for that "new world of expenses" thing. I find myself admiring his forthrightness.

I have seen quite a few of the cookie cutter profiles myself. the realy funny ones are the pro dommes. but then they are fishing for the guys that would have no idea what to do if they ran across a lifestyle Domme. Mine states clearly what I am looking for and I believe that I have found a wonderful Dom and sub to fulfill my current desires

<Fast Reply> damn and here I thought long and hard about mine....lol No, not really. I just stated what I was thinking. It has kept some away, but I still get nice e-mails. Either they're stating nice profile... strong profile... or they forgot to read it all and bother me to start with...LOL When I start reading profiles on here. I try to look past the ones that seem boasty. And stay very clear of the ones that are experts in every thing on the list. It's hard to state in a profile what all you have to offer.... because it sort makes it all about them. But in reverse, it's hard to say exactly all you are looking for...again makes it all about you. I know I read some profiles and my first thought is.... damn.. took awhile to make up that pack of lies i'm sure! [:D]
