hi- im all grrrubby. not happy. it started out as funny- the dog outsmarted me and hid in the bath tub. when i used the bathroom something behind the curtin moved and i jumped- thinking a person had gotten in!!! here it wa my gernman sheppard. well she is all upset over firecrackers per nieghbors - so=i woked up today to the messiest shit and pee. argh.

since i had the furnace guy here i -reorderred satilite. i think i can hadle the bills now. arent the installers always hunky?  what was his 1st comment? "i like your trees!"  OMG OMG!!!

anyhow i missed watering yesderday as i was donw for the count. so im out today watering.  as selfesh as this sounds i want to give my 42 trees a good watering as often as possible. if they impose drought restrictions later- at least they would have a good start. and beleive me- the neighbors would all complain.

i figured out why the hostelity. i got the foreclosure. serveral ppl wanted it. BUT i made the correct moves to score it. [legal or borderline]
isnt it like people to fight over a bargain and land?

anyhow my unmeterred water is $71 a month here.  there is talk of doing meters. so i want my pprecious landscape to get a start.

we are experiencing those very humid days- hot too.

the neighbor in back- i think i can trust them. ill talk to everybody. they planted a tree. a tree needs 6 gallons of water a day. i want to tell them that w/o being bitchy. anyhow I met her dad- he is real cool. being they are landscaping too- i am sorta the mmmr jones.

i could have fainted the day the one older lady said im not sure how many trees you are "allowed" to plant. excuse me? this is private property!

anyhow it takes all day long to water and i have a cool hose. [in every way-he hehe]

im sunburned from watering.

my pills are fcckin kicking in! Life in Pennsylvania is GREAT!

God Bless Pennsylvania. Thank you god for my friends at CM.

God Bless all my friends here!

HUgsz to ALL

Yeah, but it's been really dry here, this often happens in the summer.

we usually dont get drought restrictions until late july or august. i used to want them! due to the neighboring township you daresnt burn in a barrel then. otherwise the fumes blow over to my place. here most teh area wont allow burn barrels- it has benn this way for years. man i majorly complained. as to why the ashes are not tested to check for plastics and such. they say they only burn paper BUT  if they could burn old tires they woulld. [instead of payin $2 to dispose of] or in my case whne I junked a car- i put all my old tires in teh trunck

I don't know how many trees I am allowed.  I live in a neighborhood where we have convenants.  Mainly these deal with percentages of size regarding outbuildings and how many you can have on your lot.

At the present time we can be fined for watering our plants and grass and washing our cars.   Gardens too.

edit to add gardens.

gawd i love living in Chicago - there has never been a water restriction (that i can remember) during the summer. now the surrounding burbs who pay their water from the city - they will start water restrictions around mid-July until August.

im sorta prepared. i will recycle my old dish water- dump the dish pan on the plants. it will be alot of work- but no one can argue it.

of course ill have numerous dishes and a stck the can be seen from the outside -move curtain and stack em up.....

;-0~~  i read our zoning a dwelling can not take up more then 60% of the lot. ever see those mansions? too big for the lot.

i am told they are stricter on the homes such as mine- cos it is among the 1st you see enterring the town. therefor these homes get closer scrutiny then the ones in back.... and trust me there are some real dumps!!!! major dumps.

We have watering restrictions year around; winter its limited to 1 day a week, and in the summer and spring, 3 days a week, those days are dependant on your address. The Central Valley IS a populated desert; so we always have restrictions. They have still fines for violating the rules and other 'conditions' as well.

Winter [can water any time during the day]-
ODD addresses SATURDAY ONLY
EVEN addresses SUNDAY ONLY -

Summer - watering 8am to 11 am & 7pm to 6am
ODD addresses - Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
EVEN addresses - Wednsday, Friday, Sunday
NO WATERING ON MONDAY

my aluminum siding has a texture- no one ever hosed it down. any idea as to how to clean it?

im trying to be a good neighbor but i have my priorities as well.

Grow rocks.  They require very little water and are nearly impossible to kill.

DYI, rent a power washer at the rental place --- maybe 50 bucks, it ain't brain surgery. attach hose, turn on, hold on, top to bottom left to right or right to left, be creative...

the powdery look is the aluminum oxidizing. it happens after a few years.

You are near the Susquehanna, right?  Do you have mayflies near your house?  I was in Harrisburg a few weeks ago and those things are everywhere.

Hi hunkboy,

Sorry to hear that Sheba is so scared of the loud firecrackers.
I have had to get doggie tranquilizers in the past for my big dog
while he was still alive.

He would pant and pace and press up right next to me.
Goddess forbid that we leave the house, because he tore
apart the doorframe between the garage and the kitchen!

After a few days of this I made an appointment with the vet.
As we were standing at the counter, me totally disheveled, I said,
"Hi, I am here to get some tranquilizers for my dog, he is having a
hard time with the fireworks!  (pause)  And can I have some tranquilizers too !?"
