im fuming- here we go again. i am logged as having 2x the income that i actually do. we went thru this last year. the paperwork i produce isnt good enuff.

how is it teh compter is always right and the public be damned?

they mix me up with my dad whos name is same. but i was born in 63 , not 41.

i could scream!

so my question is this.  has the grid. the computers ever made a mistake in your favor????

definately not in my case. in my personal case it is exactly the opposite.. the computing gods that figure out income and everything have repeatedly jacked around with me in so many different ways it is not even funny. kind of odd how the state will not take into consideration someone who pays half of what they make in wages for child support as not qualifying for housing help.

Never.

A few week's ago there was an article in the Omaha newspaper about a man who works at the University of Lincoln.  I believe he is a groundskeeper.  Anyway they gave him a pay raise a few year's ago.  It was supposed to be something like 5%....  He went from making about 20 grand a year up to 60.  In his favor obviously.  Anyway they were going to file criminal charges on him when they found out.  They've reached some sort of settlement for him to pay the money back instead of prison time.

Computer err'd in his favor.  When they found out it wasn't great.

I've never known of a computer making an error.   I have found it is either the data entry p erson or the programmer that made the mistake.

Had this same problem, and had all necessary documentation (my weekly pay slips).

Each time I recieved notice, sent all details to the address given...
clearly was a direct route to the 'bit-bucket', despite that I always sent certified.

After several go-rounds, I ultimately was informed
(in a snickering manner but that is a separate gripe)
that my wages were subject to garnishment for the alleged shortfall.

WHAT WAS THE ULTIMATE RESOLUTION???

Go IN PERSON, with your w2s [or other income documents] in hand...
to a local IRS office,
sit down with a HUMAN,
explain things, and have them key it in while you watch.

Bureaucracy  :P

Elections are approaching...
perhaps a complaint to your 'representatives' in goobermint
might actually be effective... might be worth a shot.
