It's a disgrace. I know they are paying Igawa 20 million dollars or whatever but, the fact that they even took that chance without seeing if he could pitch or not is ridiculous. Also...I know they say Clippard has trouble with his control...but he wins lol. So how much can you possibly complain?

I didn't see the news, but it's not too surprising.  Let's see, 6.33 ERA, 1.70 WHIP...why on earth would you keep Clippard in the Big Leagues if you don't have to?  The kid's only 22 and he might turn into a good major-league pitcher one day.  But he isn't there yet.  The only reason why he came up at all this year was because of the injuries to Karstens and Pavano.

True but as I said, Igawa is no different. The only reason they're playing him is because of his salary and Clippard does have one of the best winning percentages on the team. I can't say that his playing inspires the team or whatever but when you're 9 games down, no matter how many runs your pitcher gives up if some how whenever he plays your team manages a good game...I'd keep him.
