Greetings All,

I was wondering if anyone had used electric fence gear during playtime.. perhaps even energizing a cage?

My thanks,

Jon

That sounds like a Literotica story I once read.

That's about as close to reality as I've ever seen it come, but hey, maybe someone really HAS done it before.

LOL

It does, now that I'm looking at it. :-)

Wasn't planning on putting enough charge through the cage to produce an electrical explosion when one throws a stick against the cage (ala. "The A-Team").. but just enough for a "gentle correction" if the subject gets "too close".

Hell.  I'll just find a until to borrow and test it on myself.  I haven't had a good shock in awhile.

More input is appreciated, and thank you juliet. :-)

Hrm...

Do you even need to electrify it?  You could just warn her it's a high voltage cage, and not to touch the bars...

I would prefer to electrify it.. just so if/when I *do* bluff, she doesn't think for a second I am bluffing.. ;)

When dealing with high voltage is time to use your pass card, BLUFF. If you want  a creditable bluff make it humm maybe wire it to a violet wand type unit. If she is not certain if it is lethal voltage, a static charge like rubbing hair will feel like a thousand volts.

Be sure to have the bottom/etc/wizz on it.  Then you can have a doctor/patient scene where you ask "Do you experience painful urination?".

It can be done but you need to do a lot of research on safety and maybe consult someone who works with electric fences. Last thing anyone wants is for the bottom to test the cage and get a cardiac arrest.

Unless someone has a heart problem, a jolt from an electric fence is unpleasant, but it won't kill them. It happens all the time - ask any farmer. Where an electric fence has killed someone, it's been in situations where they have fallen across them and can't get up for some reason. The regular pulses interfere with heart rhythms (they act like defibrulaters) and I have heard of two instances where they have been fatal. One was a child who fell across one and the other was an elderly man who slipped and couldn't get up. Under normal circumstances, the batttery powered ones are quite safe, but I would avoid one that was hard wired.

(For those unfamiliar with electric fences, the ones used in agriculture generally deliver pulses at regular intervals. They are not permanently "on". I have touched one in an absent minded moment and been totally un unscathed because I touched it between pulses - the lord looks after idiots at times, lol)

IIRC, most electric fence units can be adjusted for intensity.. and don't scoff too quickly at the battery-powered ones.. those things will light up your day pretty well too. ;-)   (Got the t-shirt.. lol)

Electric fence chargers are no more dangerous in the dungeon than they are on a ranch. They are used all over the world to contain stock and anyone who has spent time on a ranch has been shocked multipule times.... no more dangerous than those electric fly swatters. Remember you need two connections, ground and hot and most cages are metal that is all connected together, so you will need an isolated ground and the slave must touch both connections at once to get a shock.

Have fun and play safe

Just for perspective, we used to live in a rental house on a sheep farm *yeah, yeah, no sheep jokes please..lol* and the owners used electrical fence around the entire property. We used to shortcut over/under them constantly and I received quite a few "jolts" when accidentally brushing against it. One time in particular a bunch of us were sledding on a hill in one of the pastures, one girl didn't stop in time (mind you, this was in the snow, and she was pretty soaked, as we all were) and went under the fence and stopped with the line touching her. Other than a massive look of surprise on her face, she was unharmed, and this was a 10 yr old. As someone else commented, it's all in the intensity setting, as long as you set it at the intensity used for smaller animals (ie, sheep, goats, things of that nature), you should be fine as long as there are no other health issues (cardiac in particular).

Not neccessary so, a ground from your box to ground ie a metal water pipe  you only need the hot attached to the cage with insluators and a big cage to offer her room to stay safe..

i backed up against a hot wire (single line electric fence) as i put my hands on the horse to keep him from stepping on me.  the charge went through me and into the horse....neither one of us was hurt.

and my idiot cousins used to whiz on the electric fence all the time.  hey, i SAID they were idiots....

kitten, who wasnt dumb enough to grab the hot wire when the cousins tried to convince me it was a good idea....nor roll about in stinging nettle, although one of the other cousins did

If it is safe to castrate a calf by applying a band to cut off the circulation, then it must be safe for a human pet.
If it is safe to make a bull sleep outdoors in the snow without any clothing, then it must be safe for a human pet.
If it is safe to continuously feed a cow growth hormones and antibiotics, then it must be safe for a human pet.
If it is safe for a pasture animal (with fur and thick hide and insulating hooves) to get shocked by an electric fence, it must be safe for a human pet.

And these are people who profess to be worthy of SSC or RAC play?

Unless you know what is the source impedance of the power producing device, and the load impedance of the return loop (ground path) -- then don't play with electricity! It only takes 0.1A to kill. For very good reason, it is legally required that the GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) outlet in your bathroom stops an electric short to ground at < 0.006A. It is not rocket science, but you really must do the math and know the limits to insure safety.

If you are unwilling to do REAL research and run the numbers, then stick with electrical devices that are FDA approved for human use.

Agreed. You can get away with wiring it to a battery-contolled unit (i.e. ten's unit) and if you're looking for realism, just split and strip the rubber off a larger cable.. run it over the BC-unit's cable.. then get creative with some extra raw copper wire and voila! I know it would scare the sh*t outta me!

I have seen an electrician zap his finger right off - a professional of many years. Don't go there!

Worthy?  Real?  What's next, twue?  It's RACK by the way, not RAC.  I could kill someone with an FDA approved for human use device, so it's not that simple.  However, I would have to know how to do it and choose to use it that way.

Sexy though that might sound, I'd avoid a design that is capable of passing current from fingertip to fingertip of the opposite hand, or in one foot and out a hand for example.  Those are the biggest chances of heart risk.  Also, a system that is capable of continually shocking sounds dangerous.  Electricity is edgeplay, so don't leave the bottom alone with it when it is set to be able to shock her.

Yes, the laws of physics are REAL. The fantasies in one's head are imaginary. REAL research is about comprehending the laws of physics which apply to the matter of controlling electrical current to a degree which is ACTUALLY safe, again, based on REAL laws of physics and the REAL science of medicine. Perhaps you just arrived into this parallel dimension, from planet Gor, where the laws of physics are different, and your fantasies are the actual REALITY. Welcome to this universe, either accept the REAL laws of physics here, or get back into your interdimensional spaceship and go home to Gor -- where you can promote activities which are unsafe and even deadly in this universe.

If a master engaging in electric "play" cannot even exercise control over a known quantifiable quantity of electrons, then I believe it does in fact raise great doubt over their mastery of anything.

>It's RACK by the way..
Yes, in your mind. It is also SSICK (safe sane informed consensual kink) when the implicit terms are included. You are probably the type of person who says "ATM machine" (i.e., "automatic teller machine machine"). When you speak BDSM jargon, do you say "kink" after every term? Kink is implied in every BDSM acronym, and calling it out is a superfluous redundancy.
