I have run across a few posers here. In fact one who claimed to be Japanese and living in Japan, yet could never answer letters written in Japanese. I was thinking it might be nice if we had a place where people could post their suspicions. I realize the net is filled with posers and they are just rying to fill some need they have. However, many of us are here to seek actual relationships. So what do you think of the idea and care to share any profiles you feel are questionable?

I think the process would be abused, possibly by those out for vengeance. I also think it would bring forth a bunch of unwarranted assumptions that have no substantiation, and thus, leave people who have done nothing wrong having to answer to the claims of someone who was seeing things that didn't exist.

Whilst the idea has good basis - it risks being abused just as much as the people who are abusing the site as 'posers'. People may have a grudge, or work through their anger or 'let down' of someone by trying to discredit them. It would just end up a section of name calling and overblown egos, IMO. For myself, I prefere to make my own choice on a person. In the end, I know that for people like yourself, who are actively searching, trawling through the rubbish to find a thing of beauty can be annoying when inundated by posers, liers and cheats. However, ultimately, we are all responsible for ourselves and no matter how much someone may shout and proclaim that someone is a liar, people rarely listen. How do you think bush got into power?[;)] Peace and Love

You know as well as I that there are people here that have multiple profiles, and when they get found out--they just wait ahwile then start trying to ruin everyone else's day. Ahwile back, we went through this on another thread, and Moderater 3 found them out, and put them on frontstreet. Not to mention the abuse factor this would give the posers! Imho, I wouldn't want to see any more leverage given to them than they already have.

I'm going to have to agree. While I've had my share of e-mails, demanding or requestiong various things.... I just laugh, or write back asking them if they understand what kind of site they are on... May I please assist them in their education by answering a question .... or any number of things. When they discover I am not here to feed their fantasies, they stop. If they get nasty, or insulting, I just either delete them.... or most of the time, I let them know that this is useless...as since they mean nothing to me... they can't hurt my feelings, or impact me in a negative... but thank you for the smile I've enjoyed in having read thier attempts. I'm sure this is nothing like trying to seek out your mate, significant other...or whatever... as you have to put your heart out there on some level. But I view these boards, and sites as a way to make friends. Real time is where you make contact and further, or really...begin any kind of romantic involvement. In this way, I think it would be easier to seperate posers from the real, honest people on here. The posers won't go through all that much effort. They just want ot get off. Ifit's real... it's worth working for, learning about, and acheiving over time... Whew.... and Master thought I hadn't learned anything in all these years and talks....grins... Sorry to have stepped up on tha soap box. Really, I suppose it's because it does get hard reading about all these people honestly just wanting to find there other half.... and getting taken advantage of. It's not fun to hear about, and definately not fun to live through. Dragon, I'm not trying to lecture you.... After all, no one knows better than the discoverer, and to plead one's case to those who would listen; would just detract from the overall experience here. A person could very well find themselves spending more time exposeing posers than finding that special person they are here to find! BTW, Good point about Bush--well taken.[;)]

And for the exact reason you stated! I do not support having a place where posers are listed on a whim, or even proof! Simply because a person whould end up having to fend off attacks from pissed off people! I shall re-read my posts to try and figure out how you got the idea I was for this idea. Believe me, any tool the multi profile, poser's could use is best kept in a box by the Moderators!

in a situation of a list like that you're running into a thin line....you could have people sueing for slander and liabel and stuff like that.....

Please don't feel sorry about expressing yourself on this forum. I found your post refreshing, and possibly educational for those who may be in the same situation!
