I know there's already been a post about Gorean lifestyles and similar stuff but that's not exactly what this one is about.

I have recently been learning some Gorean things, though my Mistress does not want me to be a Gorean slave. She says A) I'm a sub not a slave (though it's a bit of a fuzzy line) and B) She doesn't want to follow all the Gorean traditions.

However, I have a 'chain sister' who was trained as a Gorean slave, and has been teaching us about some of the things from it. I have to say I love the positions. My Mistress commanded me to do some of them in the park yesterday while someone jogged past. I felt so submissive for the rest of the day. It was an amazing feeling :-)
I've been learning Nadu, Bara, Display, Sula and some others, but the ones mentions are the ones we use most often. I'm learning to drop straight into them on command. I LOVE IT!

I have two questions though, which I have finally come to in my long-winded way:

1. Why do I love them so much? Why is it that just being told to kneel or lie in a certain way, or to stand still for inspection, is so erotic to me?

2. Does anyone else do this, incorperate Gorean positions etc into thier D/s (or in my case D/s/s) lifestyle? Why? What do you feel you get out of it?

Standing still for inspection is incredibly erotic, being made to feel like an object of desire, feeling his gaze running over you. My skin is flushing thinking about it. Being told to kneel or lay in a certain way, being under someone else's domination and control and just letting go. I do this and much more as part of the lifestyle I am living because it pleases Master that I do. I get the challenge of making each movement and expression a thing of beauty that will be found pleasing to the One who owns this property. I get the joy of being allowed at the feet of one such as he. To hear the words " I am pleased" wooohooo **fireworks going off**

YES I have used gorean positions in scenes and asked some subs to learn them. It is a great control language. Being able to say one word and get a reaction is a total rush.But oh my I have told some people who are into gorean big time and just get so mad when I tell them I have done this. LOL My response is BDSM has no rules you make it as you want it. So if you are doing it and it works then go for it. I love reading the GOR books and you can learn a lot of very interesting things in them that work great in scenes.

For the same reasons people join the Masons, Catholic Church or any other "private society". The ritualistic aspect appeals to you.

Although I personally find the whole concept of "Gor" repulsive for a myriad of reasons, really it is no different than any other "lifestyle" that requires certain rules & customs. I am active in the NA communityu, we wear regailia that some call costumes, I have learned special dances etc. I have friends who do the Ren & civil war re-enactments.

Something about the gor appeals to your creative side.
