i see a lot of dicussion on bdsm toys here but i am curious as to personal experience wise whats the best toy you enjoy being played with or as a master doing the playing? looking to expand my toy desires and appreciate the help cuz im pretty new to all of it [:)]

Well, what do you like to do? Because if you don't get off on bondage, then it wouldn't matter how many of us say rope.

And if you like sting but not thud, then what does it matter if someone else espouses a heavy wooden hairbrush which is super thuddy?

even knowing what toys others like...wont help what you like...i on a whim, bought this flogger/vibe (which i didnt know the vibe part LOL) and found that i loved the feel of it...i like having intense and multiple feelings at once...so i love being tied and flogged and tickled (sometimes) all at once...makes it more intense for me...

just have to try things and start off slowly finding something you like...then adding to that...hopes you find what your looking for...

I agree.  A good place to start on what kinds of toys you like/enjoy, is to think of what kinds of sensations you would hope to receive.
 
I have various toys.  Each bring forth different sensations/results.

I love my over the door straps so that I can lock up a sub/slave and then use my crop, floggers or whatever.  Throw on a good blindfold... let them drift into subspace and it's on!

I have a Kendo Stick I use as a cane.  Leaves very nice welts , and is very durable because its designed to actually be used instead of for show.

I love the idea of this, so many ideas come to mind.  Personally my favorite right now is my crop but that is subject to change as I discover more stuff to explore.
