I am looking for some sort of decorative tag to put on a slave collar. I am not finding much other than just traditional military dog tags and animal tags online. It would be nice I were able to find something suitable for engraving with a message/slogan/note of ownership. If you have any good resources for this type of I guess jewelery let me know.

Thanks,

Crafty

Hello Craftyape,

I was looking for the same.  I did find some things that could be used looking in jewelry that could be engraved.  I found a number of things that way.  If you go to walmart or a large pet store they have machines where you can make a tag and say whatever you want.  The one I have for my dog isn't bad and is stainless steel.  They have a number of shapes to choose from.  With the one I have, I would have no problem with my submissive wearing it and I like quality.  Good luck to you!

I would think it might depend on how open you are willing to be and the sort of price you are wanting to pay.

As Lockit says, a lot of animal stores have engraving machines with reasonable quality tags which are reasonably private and not too expensive, yet have quite a range of tags.

On the other hand, i would think that most jewellry stores or engravers would have some nice tags, for example at engravers, ones that go on decanters...

I know its hard to see, but in the picture to the left..i am wearing a silver collar with a small heartshaped tag that was bought at the mall and engraved by a jewler there.

Most of the pet stores have engravers up front, and all the ones in this area have a small heart shape that is generally used for cats, I have alot of friends who used that and it runs around $5.

Most of the little jewelry stands in the middle of the mall have necklaces and bracelts that have small flat charms on them. Almost all of them can be taken to an engraver. Gonna depend on how much you want to spend but could be anywhere from $20 on up. Look at alot of the charm bracelets, alot of those charms can be removed from the bracelet and put on a necklace. Also look around the engravers, they sell items that..well..can be engraved!

Greetings

Using the quick reply here...

i did a search for "dog tags" and then again for "gold dog tags." i have mild to moderate allergies to most metals, including silver and steel, so whenever looking for jewelry or such, i've always just stuck with gold, as i don't have a problem with it more often than not.

In the search, i found this site:

http://www.personalizedboutique.com

They have many choices for jewelry, including gold and silver dog tags. Another option they have is name bracelets and anklets, as well as what they call Signature Nameplates, which is a pendant made from your signature. They're a bit on the pricey side, but if searching for something for someone expected to be there for long term, it might be an option.

Well wishes

Most large malls have a shop called "Things Remembered" where they do custom engraving while you wait. They even have silver and gold charms for bracelets that you can choose from (for your charm bracelet of course). Depending on where you live and how much you care, you may want to wait until there is someone there who seems more open minded, or you can tell them its a gag gift for a friend who's getting married soon.
