LadyEllen -> smoking fetishes....and the ban (6/26/2007 8:17:50 AM)

So, 1st July "England goes smoke free" - no smoking in enclosed public places and no smoking in workplaces. In theory since I work from home, that means I cant smoke here either. However, as Stella informs me they used to say in Rome "fuckem ad annus".

All this is very bad news for that small band known as smoking fetishists and their associated branch organisation the human ashtray society, who currently visit professionals to get their needs met - because of course, a pro dungeon is a public place and a work place and smoking is banned.

Now, pubs have come up with the idea of building shelters for smokers outside the main building - as long as theyre not fully enclosed, theyre OK.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get around the ban in like fashion? Because of course, whilst the law condemns pro domination, it still applies, just as much as tax is levied on "immoral earnings".

My home state has a ban on smoking in enclosed public areas, like restaurants, bars, work places....

They did exactly as you mentioned. A 1/2 to 3/4 room for the smokers. It is just referred to as a 'smoking porch'. 2 or 3 walls and a ceiling, with the front left open.

New York State went non-smoking!  While most of the clubs and bars are sticking to the ban, there are a few that still don't give a damn.  They simply let people smoke.. while they don't offer ashtrays.. people end up using beer cans and the floors.   I know of  a couple of strip clubs and bars with live bands that are not making their customers put it out...

Some of the restaurants and bars here have patios where you can go out for a smoke.  In many other cases you have to step out front and use the closest ash container provided.  A few bars do keep the ash-trays hidden for long term customers, you have to know about it to ask for one.

I had a different kind of smoking fetish. I smoked, but really wanted to stop.

I took off work and my master kept me in locking leather cuffs and also steel restraints for a whole week. I didn't have one cigarette and combined with my will to quit, allowed me to stop for almost a year now. It didnt work the first time, however. The time I actually quit almost a year ago was probably the fourth time we tried it this way, just this time I never started smoking again. It was really fun and erotic even though my body ached to smoke, not to mention my mind, but some of the time I was tied up to the bed if I was complaining.

Anyway just thought I could share that and maybe encourage someone out there to quit while you can.

And maybe even have fun doing it.

We have a state law that says a person cannot smoke within 25 feet of a window or door of a business establishment.   Our state banned indoor smoking a few years ago. Guess where that put most of the smokers?  Right in the middle of the street, so obviously the law is not really strictly enforced.    It is a law that is almost impossible to enforce... but hey it's a law! lol

We had the same thing - smoking banned indoors, clubs and bars built smoking rooms.

A year later, they banned smoking in covered areas, which was defined to include two umbrellas touching each other.

The bars are now suing to get their money back, as the city obviously knew of the next step.

We'll see what happens.

Yours,

benji
