I've always believed that everyone is scared of something, more often than not it's something that alot of other people are afraid of. Personally, I have a few things that creep me out that other people laugh at, I was wondering what odd things other people were scared of.

To start off, I'm scared of cows.

When I was a young child my step dad use to throw firecrackers by my play pen ( a real winner he was) and even pop balloons near me while I was sleeping..my Aunt thinks that is why loud noises startle me..even too loud of noises will make me have seizures.

I am terrified of needles.....it has taken years for me to be able to at least tolerate them.....i have to have tests taken, and it takes me a whole week to get the nerve up to go.

And bugs.....the only ones i can tolerate are tarantulas.....it's the little creepy, tiny sneaky ones that i can't stand......

I think my irrational fear of clowns is well known.

I have never seen the movie "IT," but, I did do a thing for 4N6 while in High School on clowns, I remember all 3 versions of that speach, I did it get over my fear of clowns, now, lol, I know more about them so they are not so scarry, just nutters; the Rodeo Clowns aka Bull Fighters rock; I keep in contact with those guys, they are heros NOT nutters.

A few of my fears - creepy crawlies, snakes, spiders, heights, enclosed spaces, crowded places, people I don't know, the unknown, something happening to my munchkin, needles....

I agree about clowns and "It." They are creepy. My mom was scared of lizards. My sister owned a pet iguana and put it in my moms hair once. I lost count of the ammount of times she ran around circling the living room before she would let my sister get it out

i love fear, fear is like porn to me... strange i know....

the only thing that i really cant stand is spiders... they are just icky and creepy.... Did you know that the average person swallows 8 spiders a year in their sleep... ~shivers~... sleep well tonight everyone...

I was wondering what odd things other people were scared of.

Spiders and bugs but that's obviously a common fear.  The only thing I'm afraid of that I consider odd is escalators.  I dread having to use them and will take the stairs or elevator any day instead..........luci

I would be scared of a spider if it were huge and had more colors/hair than most of the other ones i see, but the average wolf spider/daddy long legs doesn't do it for me. i used to live in a basement. Thankfully, I sleep with my mouth closed ^_^

{fears confirmed}.. I saw Evan Almighty an hour ago, and in one scene they had 2 tranchulas and 2 snakes crawling on him while he was in his BIG vehicle, I swear, my bestfriend an I literally jumped out of our skin, held onto eachother, and pulled our feet up; even though those creatures were on the screen. My fears of snakes and spiders have been completly reaffirmed, I am as scared of them as ever. Yucky.

my oddest fear is based from my twit of a little brother and his moronic friends always scaring me when we were teens. they would stand outside my window and just stare in. to this day, i am apprehensive of looking out a window and seeing someone standing there. it just creeps me out.

Spiders, but not very unusual there. Though I found that studying them, they are quite amazing creatures and that got me over the sheer terror I used to feel to the stage where I can get near them and remove them from my vicinity. What also might have helped was the time when I picked up a towel to dry my hair and out from it crawled this house spider (tegenaria) which crawled off the towel and onto my face before dropping to the floor and scarpering - I saw her in the mirror. She didnt feel anything like I thought she might - she was all soft and silky.

The two strangest fears I ever heard of were
1) from a guy at least 6'6'', a huge man who worked as a firefighter. Scared witless of broccoli
2) on the TV programme "Panic Room" here a few months back. A woman frightened to death of clothes buttons.

My husband.....the 6'4" marine who has served 8 tours of combat and is gearing up to head back to Iraq for the 5th time, is TERRIFIED of clowns. Its a fear Ive never understood, but it seems pretty common the more I talk to people about it.

Im scared of pigs. Got chased by a wild hog once when I was a teenager..
