  There are a number of people who can not handle the solution in the over-the-counter Fleet enema. If you want to clean yourself for play, you may still be fine using plain water. But i can not imagine anyone pushing the issue after your last reaction!

  Another option is a technique referred to as a "dry enema", where a small amount of lube is inserted and held for as long as it takes. Usually within 15 minutes any "mess" slides right out and you are clean, ready for play, and already lubed. ;)

We've done enemas a couple of times.  Really not my thing, but something my owner enjoys.  It wasn't really horribly messy, we do them in the bathroom and it’s just a couple of steps over to the toilet.  I was left with a vulnerable (and slightly nauseous) feeling afterwards, but that’s about it.

Edited to add: I've never found that fleet enemas got me sick, but oddly enough the nozzle for the fleet enemas was to rough for me and felt very uncomfortable.  We have one of those old fashioned hot water bags for enemas which was more comfortable.

How often?  Enemas shouldn't be a 'daily' activity.  For me, I would say that twice a month is 'safe' to allow the body to react/recover from the periodic 'unnatural' flushings.  I'm more apt to say once a month, but probably every couple of weeks might be all right.

I have had experience with this...i endured 7 enemas over a 12 hour time frame...the last one being the most brutal...it was a mix of lemon juice and ginger ale...then a bulb of baking soda was injected directly into my bottom...i was also given NO privacy when allowed to expel the enemas. this was part of a "medical sex" scene i had. it was fascinating and some of it was fun...but i was very sore everywhere for 3 days.

I usually give my sub an enema (or enemas) before anal play. I enclude it as part of our play time. I prefer him to be clean when I engage in anal play.
