ORIGINAL: servant2her Just wondering if any of the Mistresses out there currently have or have had a sub serve them as a butler either full or part-time. If so, did you seek this from your sub or was it offered to you? This is something I seek. I personally enjoy good service. Perhaps it has to do with my culinary background and a few trips to Europe during my culinary days. Europeans enjoy a sense of service and etiquitte that has been lost in the US. Maybe it never really made the voyage to begin with, I don't know. Most people are more comfortable in Mc Donald's than a 5 star resturant. The reality of having a servant is not for everyone. There is a "dance" that is required to be properly served. The person being served must have some understand of service in order to allow the servant to perform their duties. My house, or as one friend puts it "my kink" is service. I seek service orient slaves for my house. The kink of the dungeon is just for fun. I can live "service" 24/7. I can't live my life in the dungeon. Many people are uncomfortable being taken care of in this manner. It requires study not only on the servant's side but the master or mistress' side as well. Books like Mrs Beeton's Book of Household Management, etiquitte and other service manuals become required reading. PBS did a mini series entittled Manor House which explored the power dynamic of service. Well worth the watch. Upstairs, Downstairs was mentioned which makes many fine points but it was also about the ending of service as a way of life. quote:
I enjoy this kind of service very much but have had a bit of a hard time finding a Mistress that was into it, or had an understanding of what was entailed. Thought I would ask here to try and guage its popularity as a form of service. Thank you all. Do you homework and screen carefully. Search deep inside yourself and be careful of what you seek. You just might find it.
