xBullx -> In a word...........Thanks.. (6/30/2007 10:14:08 AM)

Greetings Neighbors,

I like to bounce all over these forums and read what it is that folks have to say about damn near everything and anything. While the Gorean Forum is most likely where I am suppose to keep my ass and not bother the rest of you good folk, I am a student of life.Therefore I am out here learning.

I was recently watching a thread in the Polls and Random Stupidity section, "CM Male Mind Candy" In that thread WildFleurs made a comment that made me smile. She stated, though not Gorean, she always enjoyed Leonidas' posts and included me on that, she also stated, that was in contrast to our views on male superiortiy.

To the point now; that comment hit home with me. I'm not saying that Wildfleur isn't accepting of my thinking  about things, it is obvious that is not the case, she accepts my right to be what works for me. Well, I think that is why I favor this particular site over so many, the people here, be they whatever following, get along in a genuinely good nature. We all seem to respect the others ideas, the closed mind effect is hard to find here, ohhhhh, it exists and I see it in our Gorean boards, as well as others, but this site instead of embracing singular thought, imparts the ability to grow outside of self serving boundries.

I came here very fixed on stereotypes in some ways. I wasn't the best at accepting those as they are and insisted rather ridiculously on occasion, insisted that they were wrong in some fashion. Well, that may have been correct for me personally, but all be damn if it was for that person. A few folk around here have had a great impact on my growth as a man....I'm not gonna name names, because the names belong to most all of you....

Just hope you are all having a great day and it seems we all may be able to comment on this and even thank the CollarMe Braintrust for their efforst at moderating our selfishness at times, our egos at times and providing a great site that has qualities that I value as very Gorean and very Human, allowing a man or woman to discover the person that they are.

Thanks again and Live most well,

Bull

ThinkingKitten -> RE: In a word...........Thanks.. (6/30/2007 10:23:57 AM)

So from this beneficent mood, we can take it that last night was a good one? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink??????? (Just teasing, no offence meant).

CelticPrince -> RE: In a word...........Thanks.. (6/30/2007 10:24:05 AM)

Get back to your own damn board!

Fucking Goreans!  I thought I called an exterminator last week!  [;)]

Even though, at times, y'all rub me the wrong way, and no doubt we rub y'all the wrong way, I agree that we have a pretty nice corner of the internets staked out.

Yours,

benji

This made me smile and reaffirmed that in many ways we see what we want to see.  There are many posts on here that reflect a very contrary view to what you have just expressed and I generally wonder where some get there perception.

I have very much enjoyed my time on the boards; it has given me a place to express my thoughts and the opportunity to listen to other opinions.

I don't always say much, but I do watch and listen.  Although I don't always agree with the views expressed, they DO make me think.  That's something I appreciate.  So let me add my general thanks to Bull's.

I always try to be openminded and always try to understand a person or a concept before judging it. BDSM is a great example for this. I've heard alot of stereotypes about BDSM before I realiced my fetish. But I never judged those who liked it as I didn't know much at all about it. And I think that if all parts are happy theres no reason to hate someone for it. Sure, I've had moments where I think something is discusting. But it's their fetish and their life.

A common interest is always important on a forum. But I think a friendly attitude to new and different things is always important. I'm a member of a forum where I'm treated badly because of my sexuality. So now I only go there for news, as it's an official forum for the company and a good news sorce.

Though there is yet another forum where we are almost as family. It's a smal forum, but we are all friendly to echother and happy to have new members, so everyone who isn't just there to annoy and spam are met with open arms and an open mind.

Good morning Sir!

I think most of us have grown a lot through the boards. Glad to know that they have helped you broaden your horizans as well. [:)]

Donnalee -> RE: In a word...........Thanks.. (6/30/2007 12:48:00 PM)

I know I came here to grow and have.  Being exposed to so many different ways to express oneself is what keeps me coming back.

proudsub -> RE: In a word...........Thanks.. (6/30/2007 12:57:29 PM)

I've been on these boards a long time and they have certainly opened my mind.  Nothing shocks me anymore and i have become very accepting of everyone's fetishes and kinks, and non-judgmental.  Thank you to everyone who posts, i've learned a lot here.[:)]

beargonewild -> RE: In a word...........Thanks.. (6/30/2007 2:45:41 PM)

Greetings Bull,
As one who has noticed your postings outside the Gorean forum, it is refreshing to see one who is open and willing to appear outside their usual "haunts." We all can learn something from one another irregardless of our own personal views. It is the experience we had which needs to be shared in hopes it may help another one their own journey.
Growth entails us to listen and learn with an open mind even if we do not agree, what work for me doesn't mean it works for someone else. My growth demands that I keep an open attitude to things which I may not agree and understand. In the end, we become wiser and better individuals all around.
   Many of us has learnt something from what you've shared and became a little bit wiser ourselves. Be well and we should be thanking you - Bear.

Tal, neighbor,

My homestone is not of Gor, but I find many ideas and thoughts of value there. My first M/s relationship was with a woman who identified as kajira, and I learned a lot about Gor in order to be a better Master for her.  I try to keep my mind open, using a "Your kink may not be my kink, but your kink is okay too" kind of "live and let live" approach.

Not everyone feels that way.  I found my path went else where, and I left Gor behind.  But I remember and smile.

i add a thanks too......even when i have been left in utter amazement at something so far away from my beliefs it amazed me, i have thought it through.  and thinking is a great thing to do.

i sometimes end up on the gorean boards due to the feed thing that shows recebt replies, and i have found several ideas on there that made me go hmmmmmm, most in a good way too.

slaveish -> RE: In a word...........Thanks.. (6/30/2007 6:08:54 PM)

Greetings Sir.

Very kind of you to post such a thing, and I return thanks to you for your own points of view that have caused me to reconsider any given position.

Be well.

Very cool thread Bull. While we seem to disagree on just about everything I have come to respect your thoughtfulness and ability to try and accept differences in others.

I have also learned more than I ever could have imagined here.
