tornaway -> Experience with stun guns ? (6/30/2007 7:45:07 PM)

I've been entertaining the idea of acquiring a small , low voltage stun gun - for giving an occasional real charge to my sub .   I'm talkin'  strictly low voltage ,  fraction of a second contact .   Have any of you tried one ?   Good idea - or not ?

mnottertail -> RE: Experience with stun guns ? (6/30/2007 7:53:14 PM)

pass on the stun gun, go with a cattle prod...nobody is looking to have a 5000 dollar meat wagon die....them tasers are iffy, they have cakked a few........additionally, you can also look into the dog training collars, go the full hog with the six settings and all that and some distance and eschew them 20 dollar shitbreathers (unless that is your only choice) they will hook a motherfucker up something fearful, but they survive.

Know the coronary history in detail (including parents and other family menmbers) and never in the chest and never across it.  Many times, you hit em with a cattle prod and their fuckin' knees buckle-----so environment is important, no cement floors, unless of course they are tied and laying on it.  No sharp edges, not in the bathtub or any slippery surface..........

I think it would be a wonderful training tool for a Dominatrix---

You better get hard right now you sissy bitch, I want some dick!!!!!  ZAP!!!!!

You call that a fuckin' hardon? ZAP!!!!!!!!!

Get your fuckin' elbows off the table.......ZAP!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG I actually understood one of Ron's posts! Not only understood but was going to suggest a my preference of a cattle prod!

Ok, stun guns can be iffy. You can't go cheap and you definitely don't want to hit them anywhere between the throat and the ribs. Regardless of where else you contact there will be a contact burn to deal with after the fact whether it's for a second or for longer. So be very careful of touching to thinner skinned or delicate skinned areas like the penis or scrotum for very long. Whatever you purchase, before you use it on another, see what it feels like yourself so you have an idea of the affect it will have. The size of the person will make a difference as well.

Me and my friends used to play with stun guns, zapping each other and stupid stuff like that. We even made one out of a disposable camera, but it only worked for a day, cause we were having so much fun with it!

Anyways, They hurt really, really bad if you do it for too long. It sort of feels like getting shot with an airgun, if you've ever done that. Anyways, personally, I like my pain to be a little bit more personal, and stun guns are about as impersonal as you can get. Think about it, the only people who really use them are bored kids, cops, and people who don't want to be raped, but don't want to kill anybody either. This could just be my thing, but I'd rather get beaten with something a little less industrial.

But hey, to each his own, right?

Definitely exercise caution here. Many health risks when you involve any type of electricity to play (i.e. most things above a violet wand, or that little electrified fly swatter), heart and respiratory problems you need to be very aware of in your partner before ever trying this out. (that goes for cattle prod too) Stay away from upper torso, would recommend arms or legs to anywhere else.

HeavansKeeper -> RE: Experience with stun guns ? (7/1/2007 3:12:45 AM)

Do not use a stun gun (If you don't know precisely what you're doing).  Perhaps you have the terms confused.  A stun gun is a hand pistol that fires metal leads into the attacker's skin and pumps them full of electricity.  I've never heard of a stun gun that was made for play, or calibrated for pain.  They are made to make a 6'6'' 250 lbs nothing-but-muscle behemoth spasm and whimper.

That said, there's lots of electrical stuff that's made for pain.  Stick away from personal protection devices, unless you want enough power to make someone pass out.  Try it on yourself first, though.  I once got hit with a stun baton (not in a sexual sense, or even in a scene) and my hand spasmed the rest of the night.  It must have been 3/4 of a second contact.  The person who hit me with it shocked himself in the foot, and it basically went dead on him.  For 20 seconds he couldn't control his foot, it was burned on top. (He fell down 4 stairs because his foot was figuratively retarded.)

A stun baton is like an electrified night stick.  I would also not suggest MOST stun batons for play, because they are a form of riot control.  When you shock someone, expect random and uncontrollable muscle contractions and loss of muscular control.  Depending on the length of shock, and location, and power, this can last from 1 second to past one minute.  MAKE SURE your partner doesn't have a pacemaker.

mnottertail -> RE: Experience with stun guns ? (7/1/2007 3:13:48 AM)

Oh, Ja....I did not mean to diminish the risk, and it should go without saying that you bite the bullet and whack yourself with it a few times, dog collar or cattle prod.  At the very least, attach the collar to your thigh, if you are worried about your pretty little throat.  start at one.....hit it.   Drink a bottle of Jameson to screw your courage up to hit yourself with number two.  I have yet to find anybody that pleads for six, but I have no doubt those motherfuckers are out there.

I agree completely.  I think OP if you want to try electrical play, start with the violet wand.  Like Orange Julius says, it is so personal.  There are so many lovely attachments and colorful choices.  My first toy gift for Mistress was vampire tips and a probe for Her violet wand.  Violet wands can also be used for fire play and branding.  Whatever you choose to do though, be safe, know what you are using, and try it on yourself first.

A stun gun?  Scares me to even be in the same town with you.  I guess it is fortunate that I am well past your preferred age for playmates.  But best wishes and good luck, anyway, just as long as you don't enrich the local mortuaries.

mnottertail -> RE: Experience with stun guns ? (7/1/2007 5:37:04 AM)

I don't understand this, at all.

It ain't like she said, I own a stun gun to use on my slave, what do you think?  She is looking for a frame of reference here, sport....let's cut the lady a break.

She is asking, not jumping in with both feet and no brain.

GhitaAmati -> RE: Experience with stun guns ? (7/1/2007 5:53:33 AM)

OK..explain stun gun? cause when i think stun gun I think tazer...like the things my husband uses in law enforcement. And if you were to use that on a play partner....you'd not have a partner for long. Most of those things are designed to drop a 300lb wrestler on crack. Any electric play honestly needs to happen below the waist...and remember, its the amps that kill you..and even 1/2 an amp accross the chest can stop a heart. (7 years of college studying electricity...just trust me on this one ok..please) I know lots of people who have lived after a brush with electricity. But I know alot of people who havent also. You never know how its going to effect your body. And alot of times, it really depends on exactly what moment the electricity passes through your body where your heart is in its rythm. So even though a shock doesnt do anything the first time, it may do something comepleatly different the next.

That being said, back when I was still living at home, we'd get drunk at night on my uncle's farm and play "who can hold the cattle prod on their legs the longest".....It will raise up these enourmous blisters..really nasty, but hey..we did alot of things back then to be "cool"

There are bdsm vendors who make electro toys, i think its better to hunt down these than to try and use things designed to be used on 1000lb animals and as riot control. If you do go for the cattle prods, be aware that there are different strengths, usually determined by the color of the handle. Look at the weight animal they are designed for and pick the smallest one. (ie, prods for pigs hurt less than prods for cattle)

tornaway -> RE: Experience with stun guns ? (7/1/2007 7:50:33 AM)

Thank you all for your input .   I should have been more clear - the type of stun gun I was referring to is a very small , low voltage one ,  used for personal defense  - not by cops .  Yes - if you hold it against someone for several seconds - it could be nasty - but I was just lookin' for a  ... uh ...extreme attention getter shall we say ...

I'm well aware of no electrical play above the waist .  I didn't do all that searching to find a great sub , only to zap him into oblivion !   I definitely want him around for a long time !

Actually the suggestions on dog collars have peaked my interest ,  and I will look into those too .  Just in the research stage presently.

asubmissiveheart -> RE: Experience with stun guns ? (7/1/2007 12:37:01 PM)

As it has already been stated here, I would not add a stun gun to play.
Why use a stun gun when you can find a reputable electro toy?

BossySSBBW -> RE: Experience with stun guns ? (7/4/2007 9:03:34 AM)

How about the stun pens?  I have one that is rated at 500,000 volts.  I haven't used it yet except to hear the clicks and smell the ozone.  Does anyone have any experience with these?
