Well, living alone  I do most of the meal prep for myself. I wouldn't
exactly call it cooking. The operative word here is myself

I HATE cooking for me so I eat out a lot and if I can't put it in the nuker
forget it.

Also my disability interferes with standing for mre than 2 minutes.

But I see nothing wrong with a Dominant male cooking once ot twice
a decade

Real men don't cook, they barbecue.

He is better at cooking, I'm better at cleaning. We both enjoy cooking together though, those times are always a lot of fun.
I cook only because I have to, it isn't something I enjoy doing. Having to clean up after my father when I was younger took 3 hrs, he was a gourmet cook and would total the kitchen. Great food, but what a mess. Left me with no interest in spending more time in there learning to cook.
Anyway, when J's not here, if I can get away with it, I'll fix the simplest thing to eat I can, or go to subway or for pizza. It's going to get me into trouble one day.
Everyone eats my cooking, but would rather have Him cook, so would I.

Both of us cook at times. Sometimes we  have fun and bake a cake together or something. He's undeniably a better ironer than me though.

I've been pondering something else

How many of your Dominants regularly cook?
Enjoy the joys of cooking, indoor or out?
Possibly are better cooks than you are?

Sir'scurious girl

I love to cook. It offends melissa though when I try and do something that she feels is her job to do; so, I only cook once in awhile.

Am I better than her? I would not say that. I think we are both evenly matched.

Live well

Alex

I like cooking when I've someone to cook for, I can take care of myself and don't need a sub to do my cooking or cleaning etc., that's not what she's there for.....my best friend's mom or gf does all that for him and he couldn't cook or clean to save his life lol, better that I am able to take care of myself alone rather than not be able to for lack of a woman....

Daddy loves to cook.
I love to cook.

Sometimes he cooks.
Sometimes I cook.

It works out in the end.

For the most part, Daddy does the cooking as He was a chef in a former life. He makes things that you would find in restaurants...I, on the other hand, do the home-cooked sort of fare. But, my "home-cooked" is not meat loaf and taters...it's more often jambalaya or red beans and rice.

So, He enjoys the unusual stuff that I think is completely normal and most of the time I eat like this is a five star restaurant.

BTW, His grill is named Excaliber...and you must bow to it before eating anything from the grill...He, I found out, is completely serious about that. I think it's hysterical. (Daddy, if You're reading this...I take Excaliber totally seriously and would never want to offend the grill. )

He handles the grill. Only problem there is he would rather I hang out while he grills keeping him company. Which is fine but I need those 20 minutes to finish the other dishes on the stove.

I do all the cooking and cleaning . The only time he cooks is if it is grilling outside, he won't allow me to be near the grill...its a man thing.

I learned to cook early in life. By the time I was 7 my mom had bought me my own fry pan because I complained that her aluminum pans did not cook as evenly as a cast iron pan would. She hated cleaning cast iron (which her mom had when she was a girl) so when she bought one for me to use it was "mine" and mine to clean as well. I learned a lot in the kitchen and also on camping trips cooking over open fires. I cooked all my life and as I got older kept pushing into more difficult recipes. By the time I got established in D/s I was a better cook than most of the women I knew. In fact only one of my previous submissives really knew how to cook. I had to teach the rest of them. A good example was my most recent submissive who when she arrived, knew only how to cook Kraft Macaroni and Cheese from the box. She couldn't even boil a hot dog to go with the M&C. Naturally I did all the cooking until I could train her how. I enjoy cooking but I don't enjoy cleaning up afterward so I tend to cook only when I have others to feed. If I'm on my own I just eat out or nuke something.

I enjoy cooking and do most of the cooking.
I don't do the clean up, though.

i can honestly say that every dominant that i've ever encountered cooks for themselves, and quite well i might add; so much so, that i, being a wonderful cook myself, have stood side by side with them in the kitchen or over the grill, learning their wonderful secrets...

as a matter of fact, i've yet to meet a dominant that wasn't a good cook, so at least i knew from the get-go that they weren't looking for a mommy replacement...

and, it's always nice when both parties can cook for or with each other without either party feeling that it doesn't fit a specific 'role'.

My Sir cooks very well and makes many of our meals. I happen to like cooking so I do it more often then he does. He does the cleaning up and doesn't mind it at all. I wish we didn't live in an apartment because he would be doing lots more cooking if we could have a grill.
