Just sharing stuff:
Twenty-five years ago today, I had my first session with the man who was to be my first Master. The three years I spent with him were some of the toughest in my life but I learned a hell of a lot about myself and life in general through my service to him. Some things have been discarded as I've gone through the process of living, but a lot of it remains in place .. the good stuff, the stuff that counts and matters I've embraced. The bad stuff, the things which cause me to react badly I've tried my best to discard or at least to learn from them and utilize them in more positive ways. For me, this day marks an anniversary that goes far beyond the simplicity of sadism and masochism .. it is the anniversary of my freedom from the shackles of a society which would bind me to some concept of what a woman should be, how they should act and react and what they should and should not enjoy about life. July 3, 1982 was the day I started to be 'me'.
I'm also having a great hair day. [:D]
I'm leaving in about 40 mins to catch a plane to CA as I watch my oldest child start a new life with a new husband on Saturday. ::waves to Ownedgirlie:: See ya at the wedding, honey!
And, a day early, but I won't be here tomorrow ... Happy Birthday to the USA!
