I completely agree with you.... said with a firm voice & look that says "you know I'm right" gets me everytime.

Is it wrong to get goosebumps when you are told off?? Although after that I'd jump through hoops if he requested it to make up for whatever indescretion led to my scolding.

If MJ called me 'young lady' I think He would be half way out the door, or He would be sending me a signal that things were over. Its insulting to be called 'young lady,' their are plenty of things I want MJ to call me, that is NOT on that list.  


Insulting to you , Maybe, comeing from Master I personaly dont find it insulting, besides at 23 I still am a young Lady!!!

i never had a father so when my Daddy used those two words together with me the first time in an instant message i almost fell over. It warmed my heart and got into my soul.

i had only heard his voice once on the phone and he had "threatened" to show up where i was and i kept imagining that amazing voice saying those two little words "that way" as he came up behind me to introduce himself and catch me off guard.



This is probubly accurate for me as well as I stated in an earlier reply on this thread, I never had the words used on me befor, I was always to well behaved!! LOL

i totally get what your saying i've heard those words in the past and they've made me feel vulnerable, almost less of a person.  slave or not when those words come out they usually make me think about the present and how i am behaiving at that point in time.

Well the words never make me feel like less of a person, I try not to let anything have that effect on me as even though I have given all of myself to my Master I still maintian my self worth, but what they do tell me is to watch where I step because the next step may just get my ass swated!!

Of course "young lady" was never used on me (though some DI's at Parris Island called us "ladies" at times).  It was always my first and middle name, and I knew I was in double trouble, because just my first name was a bad sign.

I would not like to be called young lady.  I used to get that (as well as my full name) when i was in trouble by my parents.  So it would not bring up a pleasent experience for me.

A lot of people got it when they where young by their parents and other adults, maybe it was just the time that I grew up in but none of the adults in my life ever called me Young Lady when I was growing up. besides the fact like I said earlier, I was never one to get into trouble.(I was always service oriented wanted to please everyone so there for I barely ever got into trouble cuz I didnt like when people where unhappy with me so I avoided it at all cousts) It was kinda funny though the other night Master used it on me again so I truned around and called him "Old man" LOL that didnt go over so well!

The words 'young lady' for me carry a negative impact. My father used those words on us when we were being punished for something. Master uses them when I have seriously screwed up something. When they are said to me, I know that I am in serious trouble.

Interesting.. to me the words are a warning BEFOR Im in any sort of seriouse trouble.. kinda like "keep takeing steps in that direction and it may be haserdouse to your sitting abilities" Though I cant really recall a time I was in big trouble....

I like the sound of it too, but from the "other side of the coin", Im a Dominant. I like the phrase because it really "boxes a submissive in".....confines and controls her mentally;it's said in a way which is aloof and dismissive.

Wow, i am really enjoying this discussion! Master has never used those words on  me...yet, but then He is only two-and-a-half years older than me. Then again, He has enough of an air of authority to seem a lot older than He is, so i think i would stop dead in my tracks too! I don't think i would dislike it, except the imminent doom that it might signal. Growing up i usually heard in from my grandparents in the context of "You're getting to be such a young lady!"

HEHE Master is only 6 years older then me (which feels like nothing at times and like a lot at others) Iv called him old man enough times that I guess I have a few million young lady's comeing to me LOL
