Are you fucking kidding me?

George Bush and his bunch of criminal conspirators have shit on the Declaration of Independence, and you think it's time to CELEBRATE????

First, return the nation to COMPLIANCE with the Declaration of Independence, and THEN celebrate.

Until then? Weep for America's Lost Honor.

Did you know you literally can daance yourself to death.

in any regard- bush doesnt "own" America.   WE DO.  its people.

Get back to me when the Government is in COMPLIANCE with the Declaration of Independence.

Do you know that "America" didn't start on 4-July-1776? Nope. That's when our Great State Governments became legitimate.

Celebrate YOUR STATE.

You wanna celebrate "America", you need to wait until September 17.

And as long as ONE PRISONER is held without equal protection and due process, the Declaration of Independence is just a bunch of bullshit, not WORTHY of being celebrated.

The Federal Government has really fucked up this nation.

Hey, it's not my fault people don't know the difference between the September 17th adoption of the US Constitution with the July 4th signing of the Declaration of Independence, or what the meaning of each document is.

If "Enemy Combatants" aren't "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, among these life, liberty, and the purfuit of happineff", then the promise of the Declaration if unfulfilled.

TY... Did you know the NYS Constitution was ratified on 4/20 of 1777???

It's a fact you can use. Maybe, one day if you're on Jeopardy or something.

1776, July 4 -- Signing of the Declaration of Independence. << GADSDEN FLAG -- Don't Tread On Me.

1777, April 20 -- Ratification of the NYS Constitution << NYS FLAG -- EXCELSIOR!!!

1777, November 15 -- Adoption of the Articles of Confederation

1781, March 1 -- Ratification of the Articles of Confederation

1787, September 17 -- Adoption of the US Constitution <<<< US FLAG HERE WOULD BE APPROPRIATE

1789, May 29 -- Ratification of the US Constitution <<<< THIS IS THE ONE US FLAGS ARE FOR.

And this piece of information is just as useless as realizing that the "new millenium" actually started on January 1, 2001....not 2000.  Hey man, take a chill pill and enjoy the day off!

If you won't celebrate it as "Independence Day", we can celebrate both of my parents birthdays...which also happen to coincide with July 4...

or July 5, which was my REAL independence day...that day I celebrate the anniversary of my divorce.

Choose wisely! *smiles*

I have *no problem* with Independence Day. ( well, the MOVIE totally sucked balls, but that's another thing... )

I really like the Declaration of Independence. A very good evolution from the Magna Carta, IMNSHO. It is, without doubt, worth Celebration.

It's the idea of it having ANYTHING to do with the USA is what disgusts me. Shows nothing but an appalling ignorance, which for some reason, people pride themselves on exhibiting.
