What is it? Why do you like it so much?  Favorite episode (if you have one)?

Two that come to mind:

The Andy Griffith Show - Ernest T. Bass Joins the Army

Seinfeld - The Junior Mint - Jerry forgets a date's name, but remembers it rhymes with a female body part, and he and Kramer witness a surgery, and drop a Junior Mint into the patient LOL.

well, M*A*S*H, that's sort of a given, and one of the most memorable ones was when Col Blake died, cried like a baby....and also the last episode.  I also like the older ones.....the ones thay are now running on TVLand......i watch them and  laugh my tookus off!  And actually, some of them were quite racy, now that I get the innuendo!  Although, I was never a big fan of All in the Family.....but I love the Jeffersons!  And Three's Company is still a hoot!

M*A*S*H* will always be my #1, and I couldn't possibly pick a favorite.  I will say I like the Charles Emerson Winchester/Col. Potter years a lot better than the Trapper John/Col. Blake years.

Two classic Seinfeld episodes that come to mine, though, are (of course!) the Soup Nazi, and the one where Jerry kept pretending someone's belly button was saying, "HeLLLLOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

I think the best All In The Family episode was the one with Sammy Davis Jr.

I liked Seinfeld, and Everybody loves Raymond.

i have a few favorites, but i think my alltime fave was a very short-lived sitcom about a mortuary run by a weird family headed by Howie Mandel...there was an assistant named Raul & there was a line every week:  "Run, Raul!  Run like the wind!"...i think there may have been 10 episodes.....

My favorite all time is M.A.S.H as well - it was well written, witty, had so many loveable characters in it and the attachment you felt for each of them was memorable. One of my favorite episodes was when Margaret confronted her nurses and she showed her vulnerable human side, then by the end she lightened up on them and they included her in on their little brownie making tent parties.

But a very close runner up is Roseanne - especially the Halloween episodes. They didn't try to glamorize family life, they were very real and always faced their crises with humor and love.

Another vote here for Seinfeld and my favorite episode is "The Contest" to see who can hold out the longest with "pleasuring himself"...:-)

MASH was good yes, but noone has mentioned Get Smart. When I was a kid I would guard the TV WITH A GUN when Get Smart was on. Liked the movies too.

Also very high on my list was Sledge Hammer.
