So just what are they celebrating. It is worse now than before the revolution. Tea might be cheaper but that's about it.

I rest my case, look at what YOU YOURSELVES are talking about. All this is in flagrant violation of the Constitution.

Independence day is supposed to be celebrating our freedom, but we have the patriot act, the soon to disappear into obscurity, Gitmo (like so many of their other crimes), military bases in about 130 countries.

Just what is to celebrate ? Military might ? Our willingness to die to dominate the planet ?

To me that is not what this country is about.

So I sit here. Perhaps I'll work on my book.

When Ron Paul runs for President I'll be the votinest mutherfucker on the planet. If he gets in, I'll be the celebratinest motherfucker on the planet. Because then I can celebrate that at least the process was preserved enough so that our Man can get in, whatchu figure the odds are ?

Enough for now. I am listening to idiots blow off the fireworks kits they bought at stores, which the gov says are illegal, but again only selectively enforces the law. I am going to burn a doobie. Illegal ? Wait a minute, the gov does not have the authority to do that. Want proof ? It is in the following statement.

Remember prohibition. Maybe not remember it personally but remember that it happened. To outlaw booze they NEEDED a Constitutional amendment, because that authority is not conveyed to them. Now it is presumed, and the sheeple think whatever the gov says goes, never even think of putting up a fight even in their courts.

Not only will I not join in any festivities today because of my patriotism, I shall also fast.

Today I have been called unamerican for my views. I went home. There is no sense arguing with an idiot or a brainwashed person. To blindly follow the gov is EXACTLY what the Founding Fathers of this country warned against. To do what we do is exactly the problem. They saw it coming, we apparently did not. They studied governments of history and DID NOT FORM A DEMOCRACY, they formed a Repulic.

Wish we even had that now, rather than this ogliarchy we now exist in.

Enjoy the fourth, but don't pretend it means anything. Like Christmas. Christ wasn't born on Dec 25th, not even close. That day was chosen to appease Odinists and other Nordics and a few others. It was chosen to coincide closely with their celebration of the coming rebirth of the Earth in the spring.

Enjoy yourself, I mean that. Have some time with family and friends. But I have that every weekend anyway. To me, all I know is I lost well over $100 by not working today.

There is very little to celebrate. I didn't say nothing, but celebrate having your family and friends, to have a day to hang around. Other than that it really means nothing.

I might mosey on over nextdoor. He's going to shoot off his flintlock. Hope the cops don't come.

I warn you all, I have used the utmost restraint writing this. If you are one of those who think things couldn't be better in this country, block me now. Don't even start. Don't give me love it or leave it, it didn't work for our ancestors and it won't work now. I am telling you, things are bad, the only good thing about this country are the people. Celebrate that, nothing else.

Boy that worked like a fart in a phone booth. Wait, we don't have phone booths anymore.

Moderator Eleven;

Thank you for cleaning that up. I was going to, as per your mail, but it looks done. Unless you were referring to the negative tone of my post. To wit, I will offer up this :

There are still alot of good things about this country, and one must give credit where credit is due. We still have some rights. We actually can influence the eloctoral process. If three hundred million people gave one dollar each to Ron Paul, he could blast them.

The thing is, no matter how bad things seem, if you let public know enough about something, you can make things happen. We have to learn and adapt to this situation. While the situation is not ideal, it is not hopeless. I cannot stress this enough.

Again M.E. thanks for fixing that. That is what I meant to do. I couldn't seem to do it. I wanted to put a little text before it but it would not let me. Actually I figured I could just edit the text, but it showed up with everything. I didn't know it was going to be such a mess.

It is all Al Gore's fault, he said so.

It was just the mess at the top from the cutting and pasting.  No worries.
