As i had mentioned in other threads i had a Master who died.  Now i cared fo him but i did not love him.  He was (as i found out he did nit tell me to start with) very much into pain pley.  Now for me i hate pain have a low tolerence for it.  Ir got to the piont where i was going to ask for release but then he died.   I learned from this relationship what i did NOT want in a D/s relationship.  I then found my Master wo is not into giving me pain.

Have other learned from previous relationship what they don't want in a relationship?  I am only talking about D/s.

Every single relationship I ever had taught me something and brought me closer to myself. There were relationships that ended badly, relationships just simply fizzled, and those that died a slow agonizing death. It's all a process, stair steps (both up and down) whether BDSM-related or not.

I haven't.  I've only had two relationships.  Both were chosen wisely on my part.

Your story can help thousands if you get it out.  To teach people to be wise, what to look for
and what not to look for.

Neither one of my relationships were or are perfect, however neither am I.  What isn't perfect does
not stem from the lifestyle.  It's merely people being people.

Yes. I don't want love, I don't want compaionship, I don't want equality, I don't want to be that close to anyone ever again

( God I am in a morbid mood today...too much time spent in retrospection /nods )

Absolutely.  Every relationship formed teaches me something...regardless of the type of relationship (yes I saw you mention D/s only but that's irrelevant as far as I'm concerned.)  Relationships with friends, coworkers, sexual partners, BDSM partners, casual aquaintences, even, shape what I think going into the next relationship of any kind.

My last BDSM partner was very unstable and wound up being violent toward me.  I learned from that to ask better questions of those coming next.  Robert was asked right up front how he deals with confrontation so I had more of an idea if he would fit into this household.  Had I not been harmed by my last live in I would never have asked this question of Robert.

Everything that was ever good in any relationship I want to find an inkling of in a new one....I learned somewhere that I LOVE humor so I search for that.  I don't like "bratty" behavior as a constant undertone, I search for those who are not like that.  I could go on for hours but you get the point.
