(Fast Reply) I personally keep small, square throw pillows in the rooms where I kneel most often by my Master. It does help take the strain off your knees (and I'm one of those types that is absolutely driven nuts by having knee pads- Master has teased about making me go out in them for humiliation purposes because I hate them so much). They are easily portable as well, so it's no hassle if he decides to sit in a place that is not usually where we "hang out" in the house- and for an added bonus, no vanilla type thinks twice about throw pillows when they visit. *smiles* Moisturizing also helps- I have really chewed-up looking feet from 18 years of ballet and dance, so I'm used to taking care of calloused skin. I use Aquaphor and Lubriderm for my feet, and it does wonders (I put it on any time my skin feels dry or itchy, after classes, and every morning/night). I never try to get rid of the calloused areas, though- I need those! Without them, I bleed. So, I'd say make them softer with lotion if that's what you are needing or wanting to do, but they will go away on their own or at least lessen when you take the constant strain/pressure off. I hope this helps, and good luck finding a solution that works for you- behindmirrors.
