My experience with the serial bachelor is that they are basically emotionally unavailable. They want you around now and then (sex), but they cannot or will not invest emotions in you or the "relationship".
Some are just the types who never grow up emotionally or mentally, and just want a life that is full of nothing but fun stuff without any committment or responsibility thrown into the mix.
Some have been burned in the past, and although they want someone in their life, they keep themselves emotionally distant from that person.
I have my opinions on why I've ended up with these types, although I never seem to recognize them as such until it's too late........, but I've gone overboard on introspective moments here lately and have given myself a great big headache trying to figure out how I ended up this way, and what to do to fix something that is so ingrained in me. *sigh* [:o]
