Hi there!! We are new here too, we only just joined a few days ago...we are still waiting for our picture to be approved!

I was nervous too but I'm getting used to it. The forums are your friend!

m0rgan, you are absolutely right---> me and hubby talked to her on IM and later I found out that she has three different profiles claiming to be three different people...I have reported her to support, but they claim that unless I have proof that she is engaging in fradulant activities, they cannot do anything...

Oh well...

there seem to be many of those, regrettably, i suspect most of them are sad little men, but there is a type of woman that also does this crap pretending stuff. good luck to you and yours, sirandpet10

I see that you've been a member of the site since March...do you find that you like it or not? So far, we have not had very good experiences. Whether they be with people belonging to the site or even one of the moderators, lol!

Do you have any recommendations as far as websites (like this one) go? Sorry if I am bothering you!

Greetings sirandpet and Morgan, I'm not sure if we are allowed to give out other sites around here. Honestly I haven't found a lot like it so I figured I would make my own. So far I have had mixed experiences here except for the forums, they keep me entertained atleast :)

i would say, without proof, most of the new profiles stand a good chance of being faked in one way or the other. some are just one man (in the uk, anyway) pretending to be women. some are women pretending to be other women. some are men pretending to be other than they are. a healthy dose of cynicism is a good antidote. if someone seems too good to be true, they may well be exactly that. the genuine are cautious, look for the cautious! forum users are less riddled with fakers, as those that make new id's all the time don't bother much with conversation, unless it's of the "on your knees to me" or "tell me what you do/send me pics" variety (although i confess i sometimes ask for pics as part of my "faker filtration" process, and draw conclusions from the kind of response i get) and i have been fooled a couple of times. good luck, but first instincts are often right if they are tinted with "hmm, we'll see?".
by and large, by the way, the mods do a very good job, one doesn't always notice the results, but if you get a minor bollicking, you have usually deserved it by breaching a rule you should have thought about!!

Actually as far as dating websites, vanilla and adult, this is one of the better ones. I can't stand Alt, and Bondage.com was just bought by the people who Own Alt,(Adult FriendFinder.) And plus both of those are pay sites. But anyways Sirandpet10, have patience, participate on the forums, connect with your local community if you can, and just have fun!

No, not breaking any rules, but walking that thin line as usual, most likely...

I find it fascinating that you can only get kicked off of this site if there is hard evidence that you are being fradulant...it boggles my mind, if you will...but I have not been on a site such as this before and have no idea how it is run.

I try my best to be a good girl, though. :)

Oh, gosh! I just hated ALT.com! It was terrible. Went thru the entire sign-up process and ended up not being able to communicate with anyone! Very disappointing.

This site I'm still getting used to, to be honest. But like I said, I am an addict to forums, so you will definitely see me (as opposed to Master K--my DH) posting and/or lurking a lot!

I didn't know that Bondage was bought out. I have an old profile on that site (if it's still there), but I found the site rather boring. I haven't even been on it for months. My hubby likes Alt for looking at pics, but whenever I've jumped on there I've had the same experience as you guys have. They are making it more and more difficult to do ANYTHING without paying (and they're not cheap!). I guess that's why I get my hackles up everytime someone complains about how Collarme is run. It's free and it's the best site I've found yet. I understand that some people get a slap on the wrist from the moderators every now and then, but it's always for a reason. So far I've been good. LOL Welcome to the site!

Hello A/all. I am a refugee from Alt. I had always heard of this site, but never joined until last week. The Alpha in My Family was having problems loading anything on Alt (He said they later refunded everyone for a day, how sweet). Anyway, once I saw this site, and how easy it is to communicate with others, I was glad to be here.
Yes, there are fakes here. I'm just hoping with a little patience and common sense to weed out the "bad apples" in My searches.

Actually if I could afford a pay site I would go with Bondage, I like alot of their premium membership offers.

I usually spend the majority of my time here on the boards lurking in the shadows unless I come across something that I feel would be good to comment on such as this thread. When it comes to the various sites and people complaining...I just shake my head...people...just deal with it.. considering CM is FREE..be thankful that you have unhindered access to every member unless you've been blocked or filtered. *shrugs* ...that's another topic for another day. Now, when it come to pay sites, honestly for what you're getting...though I'm no longer a paying member... I'd still say Bondage.com is the way to go. I do like how that site is run, but I tend to prefer CM...I like the people that I've met here a little more. For one, they're hell of a lot more polite.

The way I do is I email folks.. Get to know them REAL good.. then if any red flags go up so to speak.. I know they just are not what Im looking for. I have emailed several girls on here.. only to find out.. that in advertising they are slaves... they tend to try to Dominate ME... LOL which never works... ya just got to get to know folks real well first.. then take the next step.

Hello, I am a 56 year old man from the Brooklyn/Jackson area of Michigan. I used to be a member of Bondage.com, but never had any luck with them. I have been a member of Alt.com for quite a few years, the past several months as a gold member, but so many times you have trouble with anything coming up. You click on a profile and may wait several minutes for it to even show. Everything seems to run very slow there lately, and if you contact them, they just tell you that it may be your computer, or that you have too many cookies on it or temporary files. It does get pretty frustrating, and I have been tempted to cancel my membership there as well.

I am still trying to figure out how to check things out here on CM. I haven't been a member very long, but I'm learning.

I too email folks... Tis the ONLY way to truly get to know someone REALLY well. Of course, as you said, through the emails, if any...the "red flags" will quickly appear. Like you, I too have encountered several girls via email that while advertising they are slaves...that they in fact have attempted to Dominate Me; which never works on me as well, lol. I spend a LONG time going into depth to know the most intimate parts of a person in general outside of the lifestyle before even attempting to think about moving onto the lifestyle as potential play partners and potentially a collaring.
