Why would anyone (in this case a Master) want to exercise authority over a person who was no longer interested in enslavement by him?

If you read post 12, it is quite clear that she is being sarcastic.

MY question is ,what in the hell would you want the slave back. You have taken her/he in your home.shelter her, protected her, gave her/he all she need to grow and she poofs,Good riddance is my view...bounty ..edited..Yes she or he is still owned until one removes the collar,or maybe the bitch threw it down on the way out..

does that mean she is still owned property and thus a 'runaway slave'?  If he refuses to release her, does she remain his property?

In the old days, under the Ancient Royal Order of the Old Swiss Chard, these runaways would be first hobbled, then boxes and shipped UPsS ('Unfit Personal slave Shipping', not to be confused with that other company UPS)  to Tijuana to work the Tuesday Night donkey show. However since the Collard group set up the US Underground Railroad, these slaves are rescued and returned to the virtual Sin City world to await their next velcro collard.

I dont know why you are getting all angry about it but why should one stay when they arent beeing treated well, and Sir I dont know how you say she is still owned she has at that point proved that he never really owned her so....

You mean to tell me theres a bunch of leafy green veggies out there rescuing runaway slaves??? [:D]

callofzion -> RE: Runaway Slave? (7/7/2007 5:19:47 PM)

I've thought about it, and have a better answer now. Yes, the slave is still owned, until she can find another Master, who must engage the former Master in hand to hand combat to the death.

There can be only one.

cjenny -> RE: Runaway Slave? (7/7/2007 5:22:30 PM)

texancutie -> RE: Runaway Slave? (7/7/2007 5:26:41 PM)

It's over.  Besides once someone even asks for release...the magic is pretty much gone anyway.  Forget about begging or running away even...it's pretty much done.   Running away without even letting the other person know, is childish...unless of course it was an truly abusive relationship.  Not sure I understand why a Dominant would refuse to release someone under those circumstances.  I know if I was a Domme or Dom I wouldn't want someone that didn't want me.  Why force something not freely and deeply given from the heart?

BOUNTYHUNTER -> RE: Runaway Slave? (7/7/2007 5:27:48 PM)

Well I guess your view and mine differ,As one who has owned slave for many many years its my view of the situation,it goes to show you one must be clear in expectations and their ability to keep them,,,abused or not IN my opinion she didn't enter into the relationship with eyes wide open to a M/s relationship..  my 2 cents but as always just the views of this ol' master...

Gee, I thought they outlawed duels to the death a long time ago...I'd really like to see that.

texancutie -> RE: Runaway Slave? (7/7/2007 5:35:15 PM)

Hmmm...something to ponder.  Being a newbie still, I think I am looking at this from a submissive's point of view.  Can someone truly be owned, if they don't wish to be owned?  Or are there specific lengths of time agreed in servitude?  I also assume that in that case, it would be best to take one's time and choose wisely then.

I'd go by the laws in your state.  Let's be real, no one is REALLY a slave or owned against their will.  It's a mind game between two people.  Reality rules in the end.

AMEN, Sister!!!

I just don't get these people who ignore the reality of the rest of the world. Slavery in all sense and form is ILLEGAL in most of the world.  Just because we (as members of modern Western Society) have WAY too much time on our hands and this in turn allows us to live in sexual folly--it still doesn't mean that the laws of the land do not pertain to us.

Now with that said... vanilla or not... what drove this person to run?  If it was a valid reason, then good for them. They needed to have gotten out while they could.  If was because they didn't have the balls to either make it work out or because they have to social skills of a knat---then bad for them... Let them keep running, eventually they will start running in circles and end up back where they started!

Hello sapphirepleasure. The "property" must actively "consent" all the time to be property.  If you consent once, you are not property. It is an ongoing dynamic consent. When you stop consenting, you stop being property. Slave and property are words used in a 21st century concept of a type of D/s relationship. It is not used in any legal or moral contract.

You cannot consent to a "non consenting" relationship (illegal and immoral). In other words, unconsented property does not exist. People "enjoy" saying that they are slaves or  masters. The "real" words are "consenting-slaves" and "consenting-masters" (legal and moral). We just "omit" the first part because we are lazy, and or like the kinky sound of it. RL.

PS: I am replying to this post seriously, because I remember what it is to be a newbie in the lifestyle (clearly indicated in the op's profile).

Edit: I screwed up something.

texancutie -> RE: Runaway Slave? (7/7/2007 11:09:56 PM)

See...that is exactly what I thought too, but was giving a previous poster the benefit of a doubt.  I can't understand wanting someone when the slave has absolutely no interest in being with or serving that particular Master.  I think my Dom...well in my eyes...he is my Master, will agree.  Terminology and viewpoints get so muddled at times online.

I consider myself a newbie, since I have only been in this real time for a year and a half.  Though I have a very good teacher.  I know I really don't know everything and will never know everything.  Thank goodness for that too.  If I ever did know it all, I would get bored pretty damn quickly in life.
