I have been watching on and off all day. Lots of good acts I know of and never heard off, that are good also. Roger Waters is doing some Floyd right this moment. He is singing Money.

I am trying to watch it, but every time I put it on my TV they have some silly commercial telling me to do something I already do.

They said there were "dozens" of people at the venue in Washington, D.C. this morning.

Considering what I saw from DC was Garth, Faith, and 2 backing vocalists huddled around a single microphone, a few dozen seems the right size...

And who the hell goes to the DC venue, when Giant's Stadium is such a short ride away?

That said, Giant's Stadium didn't look all that packed... ( But then again, I'm used to bigger acts... )

I wonder who's going to be making all the money from this?
Are the groups donating their time?
And I hear that PETA is against this.

Can you think of a better way to save the planet, than flying in a bunch of elitist snobs, on private jets, to waste tons and tons of energy putting on a concert no one will benefit from, other than themselves?

I can.

Popeye I hope this event raises awareness on global warming and keeps the awareness up. I have said before you only hear about global warming every 4 years then when the election is over all, is quiet until campaigning time.

Yay!!! What an incredible concert!!!  I was cheering and clapping from my couch...I think my kids think I'm nuts.  Roger Waters was freaking incredible....Sting and the Police are always wonderful.  Smashing Pumpkins was a sweet surprise.  I've never seen them live, but they put on a great show from what I could see.  I thought it was all great, Duran Duran...UB40...Red Hot Chili Peppers....everyone freaking ROCKED!!!

the Sundance Channel had better coverage than Bravo however it was better watching live video stream off the net.  besides the DC concert only had 3 artists scheduled for a special broadcast

I am watching the highlights of the concert, it might go on all night. Gore is getting interviewed now while Roger Waters is playing in the back ground. I would be like later I am going to watch Waters instead of being here being interviewed.

Popeye make sure you burn re-cycled tires only. Do they make re-caps anymore.

Waters' set was carried in his entirety on the webcast. Blame NBC.

I kept it on my computers playing, the entire 24 hours lol. I found some great new bands I hadn't ever heard of before!
The Parlotones
REAMONN
Lotto King Karl
Soler
RIZE
Keane
Those are just some of the ones I really liked. Also the clip from the 'band' in the Antarctic Research Station! That was totally cool.  Who woulda thunk you could find that talent from a colony of about 40 people lol.

CJenny, I thought that band from the Antarctic was very good. In fact they were awesome. Yes Al Gore was tearing up the ozone layer with all that methane and hot air coming out of his mouth. Who knows if Gore does get Global Warming awareness jump started and gets the ball rolling in the right direction for many years to come, instead of just yesterday, it will be a great thing. It could be the long lasting legacy for Al Gore of doing a great thing for the world.
